Tell me I'm not reading this the way I think I'm reading this.

After all the hoopla, hype and marketing for this NBA Jam revival on Wii, it's coming for free built in to a game on the X360 and PS3 that the Wii isn't even getting?

                  This will not end well.

And thats from a Nintendo point of view. From a Sony and 360 point of view you have to buy another game to get NBA Jam and cant buy it on its own? WTF?

This has copious amounts of "WTF?" all over it.

It's nice to see that NBA Jam is, indeed, coming to the HD consoles, but for fuck's sake! What were they thinking? First of all, the only sports game I liked and actually would pay money for was NBA Jam on the Genesis. So I'll have to buy another $60 game JUST so I can get three of the remake's modes? That is another thing: NBA Jam really should be multi-platform, especially with the Move coming out so soon, since the game is going gesture-control. Seriously.

GIVING A WATERED-DOWN VERSION WITH PURCHASE OF A DIFFERENT GAME =/= GENIUS MARKETING AND SALES STRATEGY!

It's like giving someone a cake in which you used half the sugar and half the flour and no icing, telling them that the cake isn't the whole thing, and that they'll never taste the real deal ever. Makes me just want to ignore everything that person ever makes.

This is probably just another one of EA's fights against used games. Exclusive DLC for new games is pretty much what they've been doing for most of their releases lately.

But it's a watered down version of the game. You think they would release the game fully on XBLA and PSN in order to get more sales for it. I mean if somebody bought a used version of NBA Elite they would still have the option of buying NBA Jam and giving EA money, but not with this idea.

Yea, the path they went with is certainly odd.

This just keeps getting better. Now they say the Wii iteration will not have an online mode at all.
