                A new filling has been found for a new model of PlayStation 3 model number CECH-4001X, we are current on the 3000 series. This could potentially be a new slimmer PlayStation 3 then the current one and with a month to go it could be an announcement for Gamescom which the previous slim was announced at in 2009.

                  Can't it just be a smaller chip or something that brought on the new model number? Because the sketch looks similar to current slim.

                  I would love a new model though.

                  Awesome, been whining for new model for a while. Hopefully it's slick OR, so amazing you don't care it's not slick. Like PS2Slim, it's ridiculous how thin that thing is. I have pens thicker than it.

                  So yeah, Gamescom will be amazing if this new model is revealed there.

                  My plan is to pass the current one to my brother and use the new model for myself....If the model is anything to write home about that is. By which I mean new design (looks to be), quieter this and that or faster this and that or less power consumption... Or preferably, and most likely, all of the above. Exciting stuff.
