• Pikmin And Mario For Wii U To Be Shown At E3 2012

This year's E3 event is shaping up to be a huge deal for Nintendo fans. It's already expected to be a major blowout in terms of Wii U info, but there's still so many questions left out there. Miyamoto has shed some light on it all by confirming a couple big hitters that are set to make an appearance at the expo.

In an interview with El Mundo, a Spanish Newspaper, Miyamoto has confirmed that a new Super Mario Bros. title will be shown for the Wii U at this year's E3. The game is expected to be based off the New Super Mario Bros. Mii demo that was shown at last year's E3. Further into the interview, Miyamoto has said that he is also focusing work on the next Pikmin title, which will also be shown at E3.

Nintendo has confirmed the info with the following statements below:

"In a recent interview, Mr. Miyamoto confirmed that a new Super Mario Bros. game for the Wii U system will be shown at this year's E3 Expo. This is based on the Mario experience that was demonstrated at last year's E3 Expo. We'll have more to announce about our plans for the E3 Expo at a later date."
"In a recent interview, Mr. Miyamoto confirmed that a new Pikmin game will be shown at the E3 Expo in June. He believes that anyone who has played Pikmin games in the past will enjoy playing."
So fans can look forward to some long awaited info on the next Pikmin title, as well as the next Mario title that will debut on Wii U. No further info shared on whether these titles can be expected to be available at Wii U's launch.

There's still much that we don't know about in regards to the Wii U, but expect it all to finally be revealed when E3 2012 happens in early June.
