If they do that, they would have to rename it. They can't name a game after a character who doesn't play a significant role in it.

After Dark? Is that what it will be called?
Then how will be the settng go? Perfect Dark is already in the future so then PD2 will have to go further into the future, and that will be a hard task for rare

I think After Dark's storyline will occur about 10 years after PD1 and Joanna will appear in the game but only in the cut scenes.
