The GameCube's hardware is set to rock but will its games be better?

With the hardware in the GameCube the graphics in games will be hellacool. But graphics is not the only things that make games interesting. The disks that r being used hold allot more information than cartriges so they can invest more space into graphics. But with the space on the disks the graphics are the main thing that is improved like with the PS2.
With the space on the disk you can make a game allot bigger with allot more features and sounds. I would rather a large game with improved graphics than a small game with wicked graphics.

think about it, would you prefere perfectdark2 to be the same size as PD with better graphics or would you rather it have better graphics as well as improved sound and gameplay. For example instead of 8 simulants and 50 weopons in the game how obout 20 simulants, bigger levels, 150 different guns actual songs playing in the background and more options and game modes.
you could even make it more realistic so the enemys body parts fall off when you hit them. or the blood actualy stays on the walls.

with there new system they have to ensure they put as much work into everything else other than graphics to it wont become a PS2 copy.

also they have to make some different games like driver and dave mira.

please correct me if i'm wrong or if you have somthing to say

Ok so the PS2 has alot more storage space.

But will they ever be able to put soooo much into a game to fill it?
i doubt it
Its hard to even max out a GC disk so i dont think space will be a problem

First, each of the Gamecube disks will hold 1.5 gb of info. PS2 disks are just like the ones for your computer which hold from 600 - 800 mb. So Nintendo will have no problem fitting stuff into their games.

As for PD2, the storage on the disk is about 50X the amount on a cartridge.

Lastly, Nintendo has always had great games. They will definitely keep the streak going.

don't worry, the games will be big enough. I mean, look at Thornado. It has an estimated 80 hours of gameplay. And that is with just playing around with the hardware. Once they figure out how to use the hardware to its full potential, it will be amazing.

I'm not 100% sure about the Gamecube yet. I'm 100% sure about getting the GBA though. I'll probably wait a few months for the Game Cube, to see if it is going to be popular enough, or to get it later after everyone has stopped buying them like crazy.

I will buy the gamecube when it comes out because well I have nothing better to do, and who cares about its popularity, it will still have that nintendo glint and nintendo always make kickass consoles and games, I dont care bout popularity and no-one else should. Popularity doesnt make the console, games do!

Don't fret my friend. GC is far more powerful than N64 and is much easier to work with so it shouldn't be a problem harnessing this power. Physics/animation, AI, and graphics will easily be leaps ahead of the N64.

As far as disk storage space. 1.5GB is plenty. As long as they aren't crapped down with FMV. There aren't many games on PS that even max out 1 disk and a PS disk is less than half a GC disk.
