the one thing they should have done was change thier rendering system. Many peopel are saying its too difficult to sue, and either thinking abotu changing systems, or doing it.

To versions one with DVD features would be a stupid idea. Why would anyone even think of that, they would not be able to play all the games unless some how it plays both DVD and Optical Mini-Disc. I realy don't think Nintendo would do that. its almost like the N64DD. Except that adding this would drive prices up on games and the platform. It would have been OK for sony to make a design that didn't have DVD play back or play old PSX games. But would anyone want to buy that for $20-30 less(if even that much).
It would have been smarter for Sony to add 4 controler ports but that would have also driven up costs. Over all I still believe that PS2 is designed poorly. Its just way to hard and time consuming to develop for.
