im really interested on how the riot shield is gonna work.
i heard it can take on awp fire which will be so cool......
i heard the israeli galil was pretty good too but damn in the cz videos so much ass was kicked with the FAMAS.

the other cool thing is the new GUI. version 2. it looks amazing.

The riot shield will ruin the game, but I will still kill people who use it, and it will be even sweeter.

I have seen the preview video, and yes, the riot shield can take anything. However, it looks like you can only use a pistol, and it is huge, like a door. You can bring it infront of you and there is a small wide piece of bullet proof glass you can see through. You use it on your left arm and it can deflect anything while running, and you can bring it infront of you.

The two new guns are ugly, but probably are effective.

apparently, the servers that carry the patch have been overloaded with requests for the STEAM2 thingy that carries the patch!
all the bandwidth had been used, and now, they hafta suspend the servers!

wut sux most is that i had a chance to dl the patch, but i decided i would do it a few hours later...then i come back...and...

It isn't worth it to get the beta, just wait until the final version comes out, and I know a weakness in the shield.

fine grenades still hurt ya but you can only carry one he grenade per person. bullets are most common thing that hurts you and the shield blocks it off.

oh and urik i didnt close your story thread an admin did.

Actually if you aren't in the duck position, the shield isn't very handy. From what I have read, if you are running with it, it leaves almost your whole body open and you can only use a pistol! I will just stick with body armor and my M4.

well...the shield is like the para; it's a team-support weapon. the para was ment for cover fire while your team kills everyone. the shield is just to block off fire for your teammates while they kill everyone.

but just a pistol? just make sure your pistol is a deagle.

probably...seeing how the shield uses ur primary weapon slot...
its not considered equipment.

also, when ur running with is, isn't it just held to your side? so ppl shooting from the side can't get ya!

If you know what you are doing with the shield its good, I figured out how to use it, and yes you can only use hand guns.

The colt is so weak, and it is truely a sissy gun, the AK is far superior and cheaper.

Oh yea, here is a tip, don't try and knife with a shield.

you cant use your secondary attack because that activates the sheild.

damn cs 1.6 is messed.
i cant join the terrorists side. im always ct. my heads-up display (the crap that displays your health, armor, bullets) is never coming up even with the console command hud_draw 1.
and everytime i want to join a server my computer freezes...i need to wait for the full version. im also stuck in left hand mode and my crosshair isnt around.

but i tested the riot shield and the famas in a server i was able to create. the riot shield is pretty cool but i havent tested it fully yet. the famas seems ok. i still need to test the galil.
the new console seems pretty sweet. i like how the commands are built in so when you type the command closest to the one you want to type is there. and the new VGUI is sweet.

also they changed the names of the weapons. it's so retarded. mp5 is now SMG. aug is called bullpup. awp called magnum. desert eagle called night hawk.

aug was always called bullpup (something bullpup) and awp was alrdy called something magnum and deagl was also arldy called night hawk something...

they just condensed the names, i think...but as for mp5 - smg...thats just weird.

and i think urik was lucky enuf to dl STEAM2 b4 the servers were shut off (i was close...started downloading, then got cut off)

I laugh at all the people who think they are invincible with the riot shield. Me and 2 other teammates surround him and unload with galils and down goes. Oh yea, here is a tip, if someone has a para and you have a shield, there is no point in having a shield because it tears right through it, same with the galil and other rifles.

WHAT?! i thot the whole point of the riot shield was that its supposed to block everytin!

and trunks...i'm purty sure that isn't "legal" since officially, they(makers of patch) suspended their server downloads as did evry1 else except for the place u found it...

4MB doesn't sound right...it was bigger (i remember cuz i almost downloaded it wen it was still available)...and downloading at the begining of CS also sounds messed up.

Oh the riot shield doesn't block everything.

The only time I died while fighting against one was when he had armor/riot shield with a deagle, and I had no armor and a glock, this was long range.

but i think cscentral's rating system is way off...some of them r better than their ratings and others r just plain stupid...o well...

and i just found out that since i hav retail version, all the names of my guns r different from most other ppl...
but thats ok, cuz i know wut they're called.

i think it's cuz they don't hav the rights to use the real names and sell a game with real names....but its find in a mod...
