I think i figured out why i'm not really interested.

The Guitar Hero series started off mostly as a SP experience, then it "evolved" into the multiplayer party beast it is now... going from that to DJ-ing (a largely single player experience) seems to suck the "fun" that this franchise is going for.

I know DJs "battle" or whatever... but this just feels hollow.

What's next, a flute? It's like every since Dance Dance Revolution, rhythm-base games having been bombarding the market from every direction -- not that that is a bad thing, but once you've seen one of them, you've seen them all. I personally feel that a new formula needs to be had. The DDR formula is getting a bit old with all these tact-on peripherals.

and that failed spectacularly, but I have no doubt this'll sell.

This trend is really starting to piss me off now, but I can't see it stopping. Bring on Ballet Hero.

I quite like it, and with a further look, I'll probably buy it.. Not too sure about the multiplayer aspect of this though. Guitar Hero tends to go down a treat if I'm having a party.

can use a guitar and mic... for something a little more partyish (multiplayer)

also, some good mixes there.

My problem is, theyve killed their own market. So man GH games just left everyone bored of the genre. My interest declined at GH3. Im not sure ill buy these games anymore

wonder if the headphones come with...or was that attire REALLY necessary -_-

I am more attracted to mixing than rocking. I am sure a guitar is easier to carry around and hand over, but this is more fun for me (since the whole Rock Band set is way too expensive for me). But I probably won't be buying it since it will be as expensive as the guitar- if not a little more.

But I have to say I never thought a 3rd party ad-on peripheral will be so successful.

It's called presentation, atmosphere and promotion. Come man, don't be a party pooper. lol

Some people actually wear those big headphones though. I know I used to in high school, and I still do sometimes.

They're great for canceling outside noise.
Also, all pro DJs wear it on one ear. I wonder why? Maybe to hear a clean stream of the music?

Well, normally you have one track feeding through one ear, while the other track is feeding in the other ear. When doing live mixes, it is very hard to keep your place in one song, while the other one is blazing through the speakers, so DJ's just use the headphones on one ear to listen to the point where they wanna kick back to the other track.

I've done some DJing before, and while it has been like nearly 6 years since I last did it, I do remember the basics.
