View Full Version : Is playing Fallout 2 worth it after beating Fallout 3?

Since I've played Fallout 3 to literal death I was wondering about Fallout 2. Will playing Fallout 3 ruin anything for F2, or is it an entirely different storyline. Is it even WORTH playing after playing Fallout 3 to death or will I just get bored?

I personally loved FO2 MUCH more than FO3 (I hardly play FO3, played FO2 about 6times) so for me it would be worth it.
You won't get bored at all, it has aged excellently and has more 'depth' than FO3 when it comes to dialogue and the different ways you can play the game.

Fallout 2 is wesside to Fallout 3's east.

Fallout 2 might (is not) as visually stimulating as its newer kin, but if you enter that world... be prepared for some of the best moments gaming has to offer.

Well I bought a copy brand new off eBay for $6.50 so I'm prepared to leave a Vault once again. I doubt I'll love it as much as F3, but I do love the older RPGs' depth and dialogue that they offer because more time and effort was spent on those.

While fallout 2 won't visually astound you the story and development will. It's guaranteed.

As previously mentioned, the story line in Fallout 1 & 2 are totally different from Fallout 3.
If you enjoyed Fallout 3, then I would think you would really enjoy the first two as well. Of course the graphics are far inferior, but the gameplay is solid for sure.
