Command and Conquer 3 strategy discussion

well i finally bought the game. was wondering if people here play.

i like RTS but i'm not very good at them. so with previous RTSs i would usually end up putting on some cheats when i get tired of having to grind it out in campaign mode.

but with C&C3 i've decided to actually learn to get better. so i'm looking to get some play tips/strategies. right now i'm focusing on GDI since i like their flavor better.

i've been going through alot of 1vs1 skirmishes against the computer on easy, trying to figure out which unitsto use, how many to produce and building construction order for a rusher strategy.

i think i'm getting better but i still feel slow and inefficient. especially since its on easy.

i'd also like to know if anyone customizes their hotkeys. i'll be using them alot more once i've decided on my strategy.

I have this game. i think I still do. I might've removed it from my hard drive because I never played it.

I never really did get into the game though for some reason.

I personally enjoyed Red Alert 3 more than C&C 3 this year. I would have to transition back before I can post any good strategies.

They also have "Command School" on GameTrailers and the EA website. They always have great strategies for both new and veterian players.

I played this a few weeks ago. Pretty much just following strategies from RA2 doesn't seem like a bad start to just get going. It plays pretty similar.

Mind you I didn't play much of RA2 and much less of RA3 so I wouldn't take my word for it lol. From first impression it seems very similar on the whole though.

Dreadnoughts ftw! I like to fool around in Red Alerts. Getting a huge standing army of Allied or Soviet infantry is one of my favourite things lol.

C&C3 was atrocious.

RA3 is actually quite a respectable game and much more visually appealing.

EA has really surprised me with Dead Space, Mirror's Edge and Red Alert 3. I've never been more impressed with them.

i am currently playing this game. i'm playing on the soviet union side. about the hotkeys, i never changed it but i know there's an option on one of the menus there to edit the hotkeys. this is better than RA2 because the generals and co-commanders are real person.. and the soviet union lady is really hot :)
