Yeah if it takes me like 4 hours I'm at a little less than 2 and just got to the Caves of Olympus. I will be kind of upset, but the game play is the same phenomenal system as the other two and I can't complain about that aspect

I just finished it today at work and the only thing that upset me was it's length. It only took me 5 hours and it makes you want more. I'm already going through on God Mode though...tough as fuck all. You can only get this kind of stuff on the PSP. You won't see Mario of War: Chains of Peach's Castle anytime soon...I'm sorry but the DS just doesn't offer this kind of greatness.

it's a seriously epic game. god knows how they got it into a psp.

I just beat it, its a bad ass game but that was the end? I expected more. Way short. Though for being on the psp it was great, like playing god of war on ps2.

I know, its basically the same for everyone, we expected "more". Like the ending sucked to me, basically the story sucked to me IMO. Its just like WTF and who are these emimies and why should I care, if was like pointless

I'm afraid that 5 hours is not worth 40 bucks to me. I'll have to acquire this game elsewhere.

yeah it does just not violent games like God of War. I'm glad I didn't purchase this game because of how short it is. A rental from gamefly will be more than sufficient for me. I'll definitely buy this game when gamefly offers it for like $20.

What was wrong with the story? DUDE IT'S A HANDHELD GAME! Of course it's gonna be short (ok maybe not THAT short)...and it's gonna be like God of War Lite. This isn't a console game and I think people were coming into this with too much expectation. Plus there's a really terrible review score up...7/10...ouch. It's worth the $40 trust me bsack. It has replayabitlity and some good unlockables (Spud of War!!). It ideally should have been $30 because of it's length, but realize the effort and care that was put into this game plus they had a staff the size of a PS2 project. How often do you get a handheld game like this? Right now I think I've died about 300 times in God Mode already and I just entered Helios' Temple.

From having the ISO here, I can tell you that the file takes up 1.6 GB, which leaves just 200 MB for padding to help with loadspeeds(Removed automatically by my UMD ripper.

There wasn't room for more game guys, that's the sad fact.

I guess many of you forgot that GoW2 on PS2 almost took up an entire DVD9, and that was ~11 hours long.

Lastly, the story isn't as good without having played both 1 & 2, which should be expected.

That may be true but to me imo, this isnt the GoW we've all come to know and love. Not becuase of lenght, but the story imo just plain and simple sucked. Like what was the whole point? What was the story? Who was the final boss? It was a lame final fight. Like the ps2 story's i actually cared about, here it was like i was just doing alot of nothing and couldnt care less. Like, how can i say this so im sounding clear....it sucked...IMO

I could care less about the unlockables nor challenge of the gods and this is the kinda game i only play once. Some kind online/offline co-op or vs wouldnt been nice. All that. But to me theres no replay value and its just blah

that's the thing with EDGE reviews. they seem harsh at first, but when all the hype and everything has died down and you look back at the games, the reviews seem spot on.

That's probably because the developers didn't hold your hand through the whole story this time (and thus only had 4 hours to tell it). While trying to free yourself from the Gods (like the other two) Morpheus took down Helios (the sun god) and thus there was no sun. While trying to free Helios Kratos ran into Persephone who is the wife of Hades. Persephone was using the Titan Atlas (thus the Atlas you revisit in GoW 2...ring a bell? Remember in here he said we'll meet again...well you do in GoW 2) and he also discovers his daughter Calliope (he killed his wife and daughter in the first one) and he either chooses stopping Persephone from destroying the world (the pillar that holds the world up) or being with his daughter forever, and he chooses his daughter. Dude...the story is gap filler from 1 to 2. It's a fucking handheld game. They did a good job and they were very limited. No body's happy these days with anything it seems. If you want another console type GoW wait until GoW3 next year and you'll be happy. I hope there is another GoW on the PSP because this was a great Fing game.

Fucknut, I'm stuck at that stupid arena with the sawblades in the floor and those two big mother fuckers. I have no magic left and I can't friggin beat em. Everytime I attempt something to smash their shields the other one knocks me to the ground. Bastards...

[] [] /\

You'll want to press /\ immediately after the second [], so you don't get into a [] [] [] /\ combo.

When their shields are off, jump around while doing lots of air combos, the /\ air combo is pretty good, but just use whatever you prefer.

Don't use any of the L1 combos though, you want to be able to move quickly.

The art itself is going to be displayed at various London train terminals throughout next week (details below), and to be in with a chance of winning all you need to do is send in a photo of yourself to blog@threespeech.com with the chalk art at any of the listed locations by 7pm on Friday 28 March. We will be displaying the best entries on the site next week and will pick a winner on Monday 31st March.

Chalk Art Locations:

Monday: Paddington (7am - 7pm)
Tuesday: Victoria (7am - 7pm)
Wednesday: Paddington (7am - 7pm)
Thursday: Waterloo (7am - 3pm)

The lucky winner will receive a PSP Slim & Lite (hell yeah!!), a copy of God of War: Chains of Olympus, a collectible Kratos action-figure (click-through to view) and the chalk art itself!

We don’t like to leave you out of town folk out of the competition so two beautiful presentation boxes, including a copy of the game, are available if you can answer the following question:

I got past the Basilisk just fine. I'm making my way towards the first horse puzzle in the Helios Temple. I think the boss fights are fine...it's the enemies that are damn cheap!!! That's pretty much all the review scores guys. I added two today and that's two in one week.

I finished it a couple days ago. I really liked it, a very awesome portable action game, certainly the best one I've played on PSP to date. And 4.5 hours long my behind.

I beat God mode not too long ago. You only get two costumes (if I remember correctly), but the McKratos costume is hilarious. He looks like a big Scottish dude with a really bad attitude.

(if you can beat Titan mode in GoW2 then God mode in Chains of Olympus won't be too surprising in terms of difficulty).

What's challenging to me is beating those first bosses without any sort of powerups or shields.

EDIT: Update: Almost done with God Mode. When I beat this game, I'll have logged near 100 hours combined since the end of March when I got FFVII:CC. :(

Nice. That will be a potential buy in the coming months.
Not enough money for games I'm afraid. LBP + R2 = 140€ :(
