Well Xbox Evolved is always hiring, but I thought I would grab the attention of you guys. Xbox Evolved is a big project to take on, and currently Xbox Evolved technically only has four active staff, and I would like to expand that. Below are the positions we need people for the most right now:

POSITIONS

News Writer
Under the direction of myself, and News Editor Jason S., you will be responsible for posting up the news that is relevant to Xbox gamers, and getting the news out there via various means, such as digg.com and n4g.com. Typically, you will be given press releases to work with but the best news is the news you dig up yourself! Requirements: Proficient writing ability, FTP software knowledge, good with Microsoft Word, limited HTML knowledge, an hour or two a day of your time, five days a week (5-10 hours a week) If you are interested please send me all of your information.

Media Specialist
This is a big one for Xbox Evolved, and under my supervision you will be required to create new game profiles under our content system, resize media, and post videos to Xbox Evolved’s YouTube. You will also be given to press only FTP sites from nearly every single third party publisher, and Microsoft. It is somewhat grunt work, but hey you get FREE games out of it! Requirements: Proficient with Photoshop or equally dependable program for batch resizing purposes, FTP software knowledge, limited HTML knowledge, an hour or two of your time a day, four days a week (4-8 hours a week) If you are interested please send me all of your information.

Editorial Staff
We are generally looking for people that could be a specialist writer, specifically sports games, XBLA arcade titles, or would have the ability to review titles Xbox Evolved may have missed in the past. Also if you are incredibly opinionated but have something to say that you think others would like to hear then we want to see what you can do. If you are interested send me your information along with an example article. Make sure the example article would fit within Xbox Evolved’s style (ie try to follow our review format). Requirements: Excellent writing skills, Microsoft Word, limited HTML knowledge, able to produce at least one article a week.

BENEFITS
There are all kinds of fun perks with working at Xbox Evolved. Although we can’t pay anyone (yet) there are plenty of other perks. Besides the fact that you may get quoted by a major publisher or even popular site like GameSpot or Kotaku (which we have!) here are some other perks:

-Access to press only gaming events, and press access to public gaming events

-Free games either via mail or codes for downloadable XBLA titles

-Experience in the gaming industry

If you are interested please PM me or email me at john@xe360.com

NOTE: These positions are open to E-mpire staff writing or working for other sections of E-mpire as well.

Well Xbox Evolved is always hiring,

I was about to say, when weren't we hiring hehe. Anyway, I don't mean to scare anyone but don't except games to be thrown at your feet. You'll basically be working for free with a game every 1-2 months on average (not including xbla titles). You can put this down as a internship on your resume which works good. You can also try to jump on another site but that rarely happens. Events are at your own expensive and can get in by XE. Famous places like E3 are hard to get into with E3 staff only sending us 1 invite. But no one went last year because everyone is to poor to go. I'm just saying this because we usually get a lot of people leave after 1 month.

If xe paid then it would be really worth it. I wish XE had a studio and was a job...would fucking rock.

I wish I had the time to do that kind of stuff.

If you guys ever need CG work done, which may be never, I can be your guy.

I've worked with E-mpire in the past. I was a large part of XboxRaw for a time. But I couldn't devote anymore freetime to the cause, so I had to go my seperate ways.

I wish you guys luck though. I know its tough to find staff that stays loyal.

He made a black joke OG...

Anyways, I'm gonna send you a PM about being an editor. Would any highschool paper on video game violence or an old review be fine for the article I turn in?

i prefer to think of it as a rainbow joke.

I don't mean ANY highschool paper btw. I meant the couple I wrote in highschool.

But it is no matter, it seems I can't find my old reviews/papers anywhere, so I'll have to just write another one up.
