What are some good games for PS2??

I have quite a bit of money building up and i was wondering what are some really good games for PS2 besides the obvious GTA games that are worth my money??

man hunt is really good if you have strong stomach. seeing its overly violent most ppl presume its a realy simplistic game but its a great stealth game on par [i think] with mgs and splinter cell.

Played grand turismo 4, i think its like the others but note ive played each one for about an average of 5mins except gt1 which i bought for 3 dollars. i hated all racing games until i did that.

is it just me or have ps2 games been slowly decaying over the last year or so? like, there`s still some good ones but none of todays titles are really doing it for me like the old ones. o well, i cant wait till gta san andreas comes out!!! its gonna be so awesome. well i presume itll be awesome, i have seen nothing of it.

o yeah, a good rpg but with horrible graphics is um... gradius i think. or is that the konami arcade game? whateve, it sounds like gradius anyway. its really old and really cheap but has great old skool rpg game play. problem is the graphics are horrible and the english is poorly translated in places. still, i really liked it.

No, Metal Gear Solid, Snake Eater wont be out until fall. Same with Gran Turismo 4, if not later.

Final Fantasy XI...Definitely. I succeded at throwing away 12+ hours in 2 days. Yes, its that good. The only other game I have done that for (On PS2) is Final Fantasy X. They are both extrememly great games.

Virtua Fighter Evolution (The sequal to 4 with extra characters) It is also a greatest hits title and can be picked up for 19.99 and the graphics are better then 4.

Yeah DDR = pwn. I hear Frequency and Amplitude are awsome as well but I can't find them to buy anywhere. Marvel vs Capcom 2 is the ultimate if you like 2D fighters. Those + GT3 are all I use my PS2 for.

yah, amplitude is awesome. well the demo was, i havent played the actually game. theres a really awesome game ive seen adds for where you play as a ball of glue from outta space and rol around a city picking up random objects slowly getting bigger.

i doubt itll ever have a pal release for my australian ps2 but [sigh]. i might buy a jap ps2 before i go home hmm.... then i can buy porn games ^_^

Marvel vs Capcom 2 is the ultimate if you like 2D fighters.

I could name many better fighting games. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is just wayyyy to unbalanced. If you want better 2D fighting games, pick up

Street Fighter Alpha 3(psone game, but it's still great)
Capcom vs. SNK 2
Guilty Gear X2
King of Fighters(any of the series. There really good)

All of these are better than Marvel vs. Capcom 2. I could also list a bunch of 2D dreamcast games but this thread isn't for dreamcast.

hey azzas here? i didnt know azza was here. shut the f--k up darkoni. ooh i own a game cube, thats makes every other console bad. THEY ARE ALL THE SAME!!!!! all have good gamea all have bad games. only problem is that the ps2 can only do two player and the gamecube cant play dvds and has an ugly controller and the xbox....
