Wasn't Resident Evil Outbreak supposed to be the last RE game? I think it was, so I'm pretty sure this should be fake.

RE5 is still rumored to be in the planning stages at Capcom Japan but if you mean by the last PS2 RE...I haven't read anything on that before.

I think the state of RE5 all depends on the sales of RE4, I know many fans of videogames period are excited about it if they've seen it. To get back on subject, if they make another Outbreak, I might have to pick it up though, though I've heard some slightly negitive things about it.

You were saying?
Oh and Viper, the load times are 10 seconds OR LESS, and thats because they skipped the door loading sequences, and have many characters in each room AND BECAUSE ITS ONLINE. Online= something RE4 DOESNT HAVE
NO DOOR LOADING SEQUENCES= something RE4 DOES HAVE. YA see you dont even know how long the loading sequences are, so what are you talking about. And besides PS2 owners can buy a hard drive, gamecube owners CANT.

Link, that was sarcasm.
Besides, 10 seconds is still a long time. REmake 3 second door loads were too long to me. Nintendo games have spoiled me.
RE4 = something PS2 owners can't have. It just isn't powerful enough to handle it.

Yeah, it's not like they couldn't dumb down the graphics a bit, something thats done with EVERY game thats on PS2 and GC/XBOX. They wouldnt even have to dumb down the graphics that much, just look at Silent hill 4. Now comes the issue of exclusivity, Capcaom SAID that porting Viewtiful Joe to PS2 depends on its GC sales, and they were actually pretty good, yet now it is expected to appear for the PS2 at E3. Killer 7, once a gamecube exclusive, now apearing on PS2 in Japan. Dead Pheonix, CANCELLED, but the game engine is expected to be used ON A PS2 GAME. Now RE4, Capcom is expecting it to sell 1.8 million copies (less than any psone evil) WORLD WIDE, and they claim that its exclusive to the GC, but is it? Will this end up being some mistake, where it says that it was exclusive to the GC only fopr 04? Capcom broke their promise twice already, and whos to say they wont do it again?

VJ, K7, DP, PN03 were all suppose to appear on the Gamecube first, rated on sucess they may have been ported. It seems to kill people that Nintendo decided to make sure that RE4 was truly exclusive, there were probably some deals involved with Capcom and Nintendo to do so. Xb and PS2 have way more 3rd party exclusives then nintendo, but the fact that a M rated title, that seems very good is being brought to the purple box kills everyone.
This is a worthless argument. The new mortal kombat, the one that many GC fans want isn't appearing on the GC. Many of the publishers and game designer that were made famous by Nintendo have turned there backs. Nintendo, though not in first place is still doing good right now. The fact that Capcom gave them the benefit of the doubt says as much.
To get back on the subject of RE, it probably won't appear on another systems for years, when it can be compacted down. They have stated that the RE4 won't appear in this generation or the next...so what's the logical step. Then you have RE5 that will probably be for multiple systems, unless RE4 sells out the ying yang. As said before, the other titles that were anounced can be put on another system later.
RE outbreak 2 is gonna be a Ps2 exclusive, so I really don't see a problem...

They wouldnt even have to dumb down the graphics that much, just look at Silent hill 4.They would have to remove almost all the lighting and scale back from 8 simultaneous textures to 1.
Now comes the issue of exclusivity, Capcaom SAID that porting Viewtiful Joe to PS2 depends on its GC sales, and they were actually pretty good, yet now it is expected to appear for the PS2 at E3.Japan only, just like Killer 7. In fact SCEA will NOT allow 2D gaming anymore.
Dead Pheonix, CANCELLED, but the game engine is expected to be used ON A PS2 GAME.lmao. The engine is being used for a GC game, not PS2. Capcom and Nintendo are trying to work out the issues with using it for a Kid Icarus title.
Now RE4, Capcom is expecting it to sell 1.8 million copies (less than any psone evil) WORLD WIDE, and they claim that its exclusive to the GC, but is it? Will this end up being some mistake, where it says that it was exclusive to the GC only fopr 04? Capcom broke their promise twice already, and whos to say they wont do it again?Because they have hammered the point of exclusivity for RE4 where as they did not for the others.
