So as I woke up this morning around 10:30am, I called 16 EB/Gamestops in my area. 16 within 20 miles and I know how to get to them all...I figured none of them had a DS lite of any kind, and sure enough..."Nope, we hope to get them this week sometime..." or "No, and I have no idea when we'll get more" seemed to be the answers. One said "We are actually planning on getting a couple today (3 or less, not sure what colors).
At this point, although I'd prefer black it didn't matter, white would do. I called the final store on my list and went through the whole spiel again, but this time the man's answer didn't begin with a "No..." In fact he said "Yes, we have some." I literally said into the phone from sheer surprise "You're f***ing serious?!..." (And anyone that knows me...I don't curse often at all). "...what colors?" The man laughed at my surprise and replied "All of them". I hung up the phone and since this mall was the high-class rich part of town I had to take a shower and clean up...I'm serious. But I did and sped out there at a near constant 85 mph. (Limit is 55 mph...and I'm not insured on this car)
Well, needless to say I walked in and got the black, the man recognized me as the "F***ing serious?" guy from the phone. Now I am happy.
But not before I went to Toys 'R Us to pick up Metroid Prime Pinball for $9.98. The tag said $35 but that was just not corrected yet.
And the final trap was when I was strolling to the counter, out of the corner of my eye...another game (GBA) was also $9.98. Want to guess?
Ok, I'll tell you...SUPER GUNSTAR HEROES! I couldn't find this anywhere when it first came out and only see it on Ebay occasionally. I grabbed it and now have a reason to bust out the GBA feature on my DS too. Going to be a busy day, indeed.
