A Thread For Fighters

Which fighter reins supreme in the world today? Which series is the best? What fighting series is trash (a.k.a Tekken)?

Super Street Fighter II is my all-time favorite fighting game, but Virtua Fighter 4 and even Street Fighter Alpha 3 is coming close the more I play it on DC. My favorite series is Street Fighter by far. I even have the Street Fighter II: The Animated movie, and a whole bunch of SF II V anime episode. Oh yeah, I hate Tekken and I enjoy 2D fighters way more than 3D fighters.

Fighting games are my 2nd favorite genre, I like them because of the skill they take to master and be good at against other people. Capcom makes excellent fighters, as does AM2 (Virtua Fighter), SNK, Sammy, Tecmo and Namco.

So share your love of fighters and debate about them, or bash Tekken.

Sadly, no. Isn't VF Evolution or something supposed to come to Xbox? That's why I haven't bought the PS2 version...but if it isn't, then I'll go grab the PS2 version ASAP.

I think it's for PS2 only... and it should be released in Japan soon, if it already hasn't.

Plus, VF 4 is a greatest hits title.

VF: Evo is rumored to be on XBox........... eventually. But as of right now it's just on the PS2. I've talked with / read interviews with some XBox guys, and they say to expect some pretty big things from Sega.

isn't the arcade VF4 running on chihiro hardware? meaning it can easily be ported to xbox...i know i read it some where.

i had virtua fighter 4. IT sucked. I immediatly sold it on ebay and got tekken 4, it is so much better.

soul calibur was also great i cant wait for sould calibur 2

Cable and Iorn man are bitches with their 50 hit hyper combos. either way ill woop your gay ass with.....Ryu, Sakura, and Guile no need to hyper combo because they got shitty ones, but they make it up with their special moves
