I'm pretty early in the game, and my entire party is KO'd except for 1 person, who is now quite a few levels ahead of the rest. How do I get them back, besides Phoenix Down and white magic that I don't have yet?

phoenix down is the only way to revive your party. It's pretty stupid that they don't revive when you go to a Inn, but that's why this game was recommended to the hardcore final fantasy fans like myself. Phoenix down and white magic are the only possible options sorry man. How did you get into a problem like this? How far are you exactly? I just finished beating on Medusa's bitch ass and went to the gnome village (I think that's what it was called).

I got the Wightslayer, and I lost my entire party on the fight. Any ideas where to get more Phoenix Down that early?

I'm at the fire crystal and i have only had 8 Phoenix Downs. That's by traversing the ENTIRE continent, thats all there is at this point.

You can revive party members at certain Springs. There should be one in Ur and there is one in the wooded area before the gnome village, the special spring place where you get mini for the first time.

EDIT: NEVER SELL ANY OF YOUR ELEMENTAL DAMAGE ITEMS. This is super important, because they deal massive damage to bosses without draining MP. I'm learning this the hard way against the Fire Crystal boss.

EDIT NUMBER 2: SAVE SAVE SAVE SAVE!!!!! I just backtracked almost two hours when I died in that fire crystal boss fight. Everytime you hit the world map, save.

I tried the one in Ur, you sure it revives dead party members?

That's a critical part about the game is saving over and over again. Gotta make it a habit like I have, but I don't think it does Phoenixphire to be honest; you can try it though. =/

Phoenixphire you need to just level up quite frequently to avoid losing your party members. I level up all the time and yeah I understand that gets boring, but it's what you have to do to survive in this game. That's why I said only hardcore final fantasy fans really would enjoy this game...

I just passed the fire crystal part. It was pretty easy for me, but I guess if you take into consideration that my guys are pretty nasty with their levels right now. I level up constantly, so I don't have a problem with progression throughout the game. I'm having a blast with the game though.

@phoenixphire I recommend just starting over if it's too hard to find a revival point because your fainted characters will lose some good experience points while dead. I would just start over and level up like a mother f'er.

I found the spring. The left one restores HP and MP, the right one revives the party. All this time I thought the building was symmetrical.

You can only use Phoenix Downs or Revive (white Magic). If I could give you items over the internet, I'd give you all of my Pheonix Downs since I have no more use for them. (I have Revive and a "special place" that revives my KO'd members for free)

It seems that I'm pretty far ahead of you guys (over 20 hours woop woop!) So I hope I didn't spoiler anything yet (I wonder if I'm the farthest?)

Protip: make sure to level up in areas where the enemies are tough, because chances are, the boss is tougher.

Ya, get to lvl 19, thats what I did it at, and it was still fairly tough. I basically let one person die (my monk) so that id have less people to heal with my WM, then hammered him down with my BM and warrior.

my party was Black Mage, Red Mage, White Mage, and Warrior. I didn't have any problems really, but I just kept using Cura on my whole party no matter what I did. I'm unsure of what level my characters were at though I'll check in a little bit and repost it. I just finished the fire crystal dungeon that's about as far as I've gotten. Where are you at Mathx? Does the game get anymore exciting (like im not excited enough though..)?

Ok I just realized I got the new outfits after the Fire Crystal Dungeon and I have no idea what all these other new outfits do? Can somebody explain the differences between the new jobs compared to the old jobs. Whether one job can use magic and what not. AHHHHH....Hell i'll just invest into a strategy guide.

Spoilers ahead, so...

There is Geomancer which does magic w/out using MP, though it doesnt do as much damage as the BM.
There is the Knight which has more defense than the warrior and the ability to use lvl 1 white magic along with guard, which is a stronger version of defend.
There is the Scholar which You'll need for the next dungeon
and can detect weaknesses and use up to lvl 3 white and black magic.
And there is the Ranger, which of course uses bow and arrows.

It gets really interesting, pro-tip get alot of Gnomish bread to find towns and dungeons with new weapons and magic and don't change jobs too much "especially the magic users" but make sure to transfer to the "higher level" Knight is much better than Red Mage (except in magic). Don't let party members die or get turned to stone during crucial fights (they won't level up)

When a boss pulls out his "Awesome kill almost everyone" Attack it means he's close to dying, if can afford it, go for an all out attack, because I doubt you'll survive him constantly beating on your party with that attack

I'm off the "floating continent" and I own 2 Airships. (My Enterprise got blown to bits). I can now fly over certain mountains and have a an airship that doubles as a submarine. Right now I'm trying to level up my Dark Knight and Evoker who just switched jobs.

Don't get any hopes up to finding Ethers

My party ( i forgot their levels):
Luneth
Dragoon
1600 HP

Arc
Evoker
1500 HP

Ignus
Dark Knight
1800 HP

Refia (back row)
White Mage
1400 HP (up to level 6 or 7 magic which includes Aeroga, Protect, Esuna, Reflect, Curaga, and Raise)

I've played over 25 hours WOOHOO!

Any one know what happens when you master a job? The booklet says "something special" but what?

I havent touched it in a while as well, its getting kinda boring. Just beat the water boss dude thing, so now i have more jobs. but leveling up the jobs and getting the right gear for them is a little tedious : /

I believe you get a special weapon designed for the class when you get to 99 job level.

I just got my 8th (and last) summon spell for my summoner, and am now going to what I believe is the final dungeon. My party:

Luneth - 45 Ninja
Arc - 45 Summoner
Refia - 46 Devout (adorable)
Ingus - 45 Dragoon

I'm close to finishing this, I'm just trying to level up some jobs.

Leveling up the jobs can go quick as long as that member does something during the fight.

All my guys are level 50, but I want to do some submissions (by mailing ppl)

Nobody has updates yet eh? I just got to the town Duster or w/e it's called. With a bunch of Bards and Geomancer's in it. My current level is 29-30 with all my characters. I have to go to some castle up North right now. I have a Knight, Geomancer, White Mage, and a Monk. My guys are kicking ass right now. =)
