Wii60 or Wii3 or just plain ol’ Wii?

I thought I would post the question which side are you going to take? It seems like the competition has realized that its inevitable that Wii is going to sell big, so both sides are announcing to buy the Wii along with there system.

Peter Moore- "Tell me why you would buy a $600 PS3?" Peter Moore, a Microsoft vice president, said in an interview. "People are going to buy two (machines.) They're going to buy an Xbox and they're going to buy a Wii ... for the price of one PS3."

Phil Harrison- "I think Peter Moore is exactly right," Harrison said. "I think Nintendo will be the second system consumer’s purchase after PlayStation 3. I haven't had a chance to check out the Wii myself, but Nintendo has a great history of innovation and has always done great things for gaming and long may they do so."

My question, which side are you taking? Wii60, Wii3, or just plain ol’ Wii?

Even scarier I’ve seen sigs that have Wii60 or Wii3 join the faction!

Lastly, I don’t know about you guys, but this makes me feel damn good about Nintendo’s position in the upcoming Gen.

Btw, I’m probably sticking with just the Wii.

i'm gonna get all 3 and hav an enginner customize a rack for them so that they take up the absolute minimal space possible. I'm gonna have a personal shopper to get all the games released and store them in my fathers library so I can ask the butler to gat any game. I already have this solution with ps2, gC and xbox... but i think i will have to have that in my other room... i think they will look OK on only a 42" LCD TV instead of the projector.

The only way I'll have a PS3 is if I win it. I'm not paying $500 for one. 360 is a maybe.

I just realised something.

Was Phil Harrison the guy who said that Nintendo's controller is just a gimmick? Cause if he did, then he just screwed himself royally by saying "I haven't had a chance to check out the Wii myself, but Nintendo has a great history of innovation and has always done great things for gaming and long may they do so."

If he wasnt at the pre-e3 sony conference, then some other sony guy was who said the Wii-mote is a gimmick, but then went on to reveal their controller. Now this guy is saying that Nintendo has a great history of innovation and blah blah blah. Make up your mind sony.

Btw, Im just getting a Wii. Ill get a 360 maybe if I can find one for cheap enough. (Less than $200 aus)

I'm probobly just going the way of Wii, but if Microsoft shapes up (and doesn't give up with the 360), I might get a 360 as well.

i wouldnt mind winning 360 or PS3. i'd be able to sell them for a relatively cheaper price or just trade them into EB for more Wii stuff.

initially i had considered keeping PS3 if i won it because of the blu-ray. but i'm not sure if blu-ray will be the standard. and by the time comes that it is, BRplayers wont be as expensive.

there are few games i on PS3 and 360 but that doesnt justify keeping the console when i could trade it in and get Wii games that i want more.

Wii is locked and sealed deal off the bat, and PS3 for me as my second console. Don't care about price, since Sony has the games that I want after Nintendo.

The PS3 is too expensive and my computer will be able to handle most of the games on 360. If there are more exclusives than just Halo 3 for the 360 I may buy one once the price comes down a bit.

Just a Wii for mii. I'd kinda like a PS3 for Assassins Creed or X360 for Gears of War but I just can't spend that much for a couple games.

I will buy a Wii first, then an Xbox 360 for Halo 3 and all my old Xbox games.

I'm also buying an HDTV as soon as I can for Widescreen Wii games. They might not support HD, but many of them are in Widescreen format.

I already own a 360 (platinum), so it looks like at least a 360/Wii duo, here. I would get a PS3, but there's just no way in hell that I can scrape up $500 to $600 extra dollars in 2006. I'm going to be pushing my finances just going for a Wii this fall.

Initially a Wii, becuase thats all ill be able to afford.

Once some price drops start happening, then we can talk about the other two next gen consoles....im having trouble deciding which one im going to get though (360 or PS3? hmmmmm MGS4 vs. Price) ... so ill wait and see.

Plus i have way to many xbox and ps2 games to play. Add the kilelr DS software and a couple of PSP games, and you can see why you shouldnt buy more than one system.

I will have PS3 and WIi. I have always had both Sonty and Nintendo ever since the first PS1 came out. And I have always had a Ninty system. It used to be Ninty and Sega, but then Dreamcast came out and PS2 did too, and wll, we all know ehat happened there. So Sony and Ninty it is again!

I'll get the Wii for sure, and possibly a 360. And to all you people who are saying "Get off your lazy asses and get a job" about not affording the PS3, I have a job, but the PS3 better have some DAMN compelling games, and I mean a LOT to convince me to shell out for that crap. Same thing for the 360, although to a lesser extent, since it is cheaper.

Even so, the fact of the matter is, I'm not nearly the gamer I used to be, and I think I'm going to see myself spending less and less on games as the years go by. So if the PS3 or 360 has games that are interesting enough to pull me out of my gaming funk, then I'll lean toward that one. Right now, neither has 'em though.
