Wii Star Wars a possibility

May 11, 2006 - During a technical demonstration for an unnamed Xbox 360 and PS3 Star Wars title, LucusArts made note to announce high interest in creating a Wii title in the Star Wars universe, with lightsaber battles in mind.

At the end of the demonstration questions were raised about the possibility of such a game, garnering knowing smiles from the room of LucasArts employees. Comments of "We are looking into it" were heard from members of their staff as ideas for the game were discussed among the people in the room.

The company has made no official announcements about any planned Wii titles -- there are no LucasArts Wii titles at E3 -- but we anxiously await any information from LucasArts on what promises to be a very compelling game concept.

I just read that a little while ago. A lightsaber game seems like a logical move for LucasArts and a nice mate to the controller.

It would be cool if you could actually controll the light saber in first person and create your own Jedi or Sith character. That would be awesome.

Lightsabres are obvious, but how about force powers? How about strangling some noob and shaking him around by the neck with the controller. Or throwing some lightning out by directing it with the controller.

The possiblities of a starwars lightsaber game are pretty friggin cool. This was the first game i thought of when i saw the Wii controller. Im hopin for lucasarts to show nintendo some love this time around.

Man this was such an obviuos development. The first thing I thought of when I saw the Wii controller and understood it was Metroid. The seond? Zelda, or course. The third? Stwr Wars! I want a Star Wars game based off of the books after Jedi ends. That would kick ass.....
