Welcome to yesterday... and for those who get confused at the title, TP is still a GCN game, it just has Wii functionality as a bonus.

Yesterday? But didn't the Time Magazine issue come out today?

Zelda:TP has officially gone Wii!

This isn't really news to anybody, I don't think. We've known for as long as we've known about "Revolution" (now Wii) that the game will be playable on Wii, since all GCN games are, but further have known that the game would utilize Wii's features when played on Wii. This article just supports what we already knew.

And I don't like the thread title. It suggests that it isn't a GCN game any longer, but it still is. It's a GCN game that also utilizes Wii's capabilities.

I edited the title to better reflect the issue.

It is nice to have confirmation of what we all expected already though.

Hey this is according to EGM about the new Zelda:

-Zelda is 80% complete, delay was for graphic tweaks, wii functions and because they want the game to be measured on a scale of 1 to 120 instead of 1 to 100.
-NO SWINGING THE CONTROLLER for the sword, you just press a button. There are some cases where you will swing though. Reason = you'll get tired too fast
-Controller does sound effects
-Widescreen on the REV only!
-Navi is only when you play on the REV.
-Something with online is planned but no battle mode.
-More dungeons than OOT already
-More items too

The Controller does sounds! That sounds interesting. Anyways, I am glad they took the extra time for the game, because this game will be the greatest game ever. :P

hahah good one. I was really hoping for like some sword play minigames. (I'm still 100 percent positive there will be something like that)

More dungeons than OOT!!! Already!!! So there's going to be more. What are there going to be like 10 dungeons. I could barely beat OOT.

I'm looking forward to these new items. I wonder.

I know that's what I thought too. You know, if they really cared about the GCN they could have released this game for GCN back in November when they were going to and simply rereleased it as a Wii game as a launch title. As it is, I'm fairly dissapointed. From a business standpoint, I totally understand this, but what a not nice thing to do to those of us who have supported the Cube through hard times.

Ey, Gillespee, good to see you out and about the boards! What light drave you from your hiding place?

Either way, I find it rather aggravating as well that they're pushing out different versions of the game, one for Wii and one for GCN. I see why they held back the cube version until the release if the version tailored for Wii... but it's aggravating none the less.
