Resident Evil for Wii

Got yah didn't I? No really, don't you all agree that a Res Evil game for Wii would kick azz? First person shooting fun ala Res Evil 4, but with the Wii controller. Talk about reinventing the series completely. They would really need to take full advatage of all the unique features that Wii has to offer. So lets all bug Capcom about making a Res Evil game for Wii. :monster:

I think it would also smash the "kiddie" image thing people have against Nintendo.

but it should be good, it would be able to combine "arcade" shooting games with the gun (wand) and the FPS (attachment)

RE4 didnt smash the Gamecubes 'kiddy' image. Although it shouldve... RE on Wii could potentially be the best of the series because you would feel more 'in' the game, which i suspect is important to the horror genre.

You are right that the immersive nature of the Wii controller, with the lights out, would heighten the experience quite a bit. Which is my point that Res Evil on Wii wouild kick SOOOOO much azz. It would be better then any other Res Evil game ever made if done right.

Capcom is probably making (and should make) an exclusive Resident Evil series for Wii... and how about Dino Crisis?

I hope the players can use a chainsaw this time and you know how we can use the controller to simulate that kind of action.

considering RE5 isn't announced for Wii...

my guess is that Capcom will end up making a completely exclusive one for Wii.

Although, they have stated that a RE will not be there first game bcause they want to get accustomed to Wii first.

To be honest they shouldve made the series exclusive for Wii this time, and probably slap in the other games like Dino Crisis and Devil May Cry to those other 2 systems.... for a game as immersive as RE, it would need a really immersive control setup that Wii has a hold on... but I'd love to see those other games for the Wii as well.

If it's focussed even more on the action and less on the horror than Resident Evil 4, then it won't be the best survival horror ever (like RE 4). A highly enjoyable action game, yes, but no full-fledged horror game.

A F.E.A.R.-ish game on the Revolution / Wii would be most excellent however.

The use of a flashlight and lights would add to the game play. I still think Nintendo is getting the shaft with Capcom. PS3 has RE5, DMC, Dino Crisis, and Ghouls N Ghosts. N64 got a port of RE2 but then I think GnG got cancelled and became Maximo on the PS2.

I'd rather have another Viewtiful Joe, Killer 7 or Okami rather than another [overrated at that] Devil May Cry or a craptacular Dino Crisis 4 (if a sequel to 3). Ghouls 'n Ghosts is for the PSP though, not the PS3 last time I checked.

But Capcom is definatly giving nintendo a lot more attention. I gurantee Re5 will not be out on the "wii"
