I've heard this from a number of people and I don't understand why. They don't write reviews; they write narrow-minded opinions. You could read their whole magazine five times and still not have a feel for what any of the games play like.

And 1080 rating so low? Meh, I'll play before I complain.

And I'm surprised Mario Party 5 got high scores, didn't they rate Mario Party 4 really low (like in the 2.0s)?

Every other mag writes nothing BUT opinions. Especially GI, they are such fanboys. Reviews are opinions and EGM is far from narrow-minded, just compare them to ANY issue of GI.

Why are games like True Crime getting 9.5 and then a 5.5...? Same with Goblin Commander...like an 8.0 and 4.5?

I'd have to say the biggest dissapointment on there would be R: Racing Evo...I had high hopes for that game. :( Shot down.

there's no consistency in their reviews. they just make you shake your head in confusion and say "huh, WTF?" their reviews are nothing more than fanboy opinions. i notice that they score party games really high. they all play together and have some laughs and and score it high. ugh, what bull. according to them midway arcade is better than eternal darkness :P reading egm's reviews are alot like hearing my dumb ps2 casual mainstream fanboy gamer friends talk about games.
