....for the Revolution of course.
Square-enix has just stated FF:CC will be ready.
SSB is suppose to be ready(and it better be), and i am willing to bet Mario will be too.
What else is there?

SSBR I think, as well as a new (real) Mario Game.

Twilight Princess releases near the same time so in effect could be considered a release title to help the Revolution sell.

The backwards compatible Zelda Twilight princess (although its a GC game with functionality) from the looks of it it may lauch side by side and BE the killer Ap nintendo wants.

I wish they would just make twilight princess a revolution title rather then the cube. It would be nice to start the new machine off with an awesome game.

Well if TP comes out by Revolution, then I am only buying TP. And I disagree with Speed Stick with that statement. TP better come out for the cube or I will be one angry costumer.
Anyways:
SSBR <--A Must
Mario Title <-- drool
Wario Ware <-- most likely to get a feel for the Revolution.
Wants:
Pikmin Revolution <-- !!!
Kid Icaris <-- Since Wario Ware Twisted hinted it, I think it is on the list
Metroid Prime 3 <-- drool
Resident Evil 5 <-- Actually this is the one game that could make me choose the Revolution for PS3. If it doesn't come out for the Revolution I will probably buy a PS3.

To be honest... ...Metroid Prime 3 actually has a very high probability of being a launch title.
If you remember... ...even though it probably wasn't actual finalized Prime 3 footage... ...Metroid Prime 3 was the only game to be accompanied by a demo video last E3.
Additionally, Nintendo has repeatedly said that their controller will revolutionize the way first person shooters are played... They have said this on multiple occasions. Knowing that, they would likly want to have somthing to demonstrate this for launch.
Additionally, they had a tech demo at the tokyo game show that had the user playing through a modified Metroid Prime 2 level with the revolution controller.
Nintendo obviously realizes how huge this genra is to getting the mass public to understand how great the controller is and Metroid Prime 3 is really their only killer app to demonstrate that.

which makes me happy that i might get one at launch!
Now...what to do with my gamecube collecting dust...

I wouldn't be surprised if Metroid Prime 3 isn't a launch title. They already got SSBR and Mario 128 (possibly even Twilight Princess as a "b/c launch title"), but who knows what else they'll have in store for us? All I'm trying to say: they can afford to release Metroid Prime 3 at a later time and spend more time with it to finetune it as much as possible.

yeah, but what you just said could hold tru to any order of those games (minus TP)
you know what i mean? Smash bros wasnt even in development when they announced it last year for example.
So, i wouldnt be suprised at any being launch tittles 100% untill nintendo says themselves.

no... I think smash will definitely make launch...
but Mic... who ever said Mario 128 would make it?....
I guess it has been in devlopment for multiple years now...but its probably had to undergo console hoping and drastic changes.
I think Mario would be a smart choice....considering every system but the GameCube launched with one...but still
If Nintendo isn't making a FPS... (or First Person Adventure aka Matroid)... the I can assure you that they are making sure one of their closely related third parties or second party affiliates do.

Now...what to do with my gamecube collecting dust...Sell it while it's still worth something if you need money for the Revolution. If you can wait the extra months for Twilight Princess.
P.S. It's probobly a good idea to dust it first.
what about that golf game from tecmo, isnt that supposed to be launch? I could see Metroid Prime 3 launching before Mario by the way. So long as they got super smash bros at launch and metroid, i think they can do fine without the mario immediately

I expect we'll see Metroid Prime 3 and Smash Bros and hopefully Mario.
I won't be surprised or disappointed if any of those is missing from the lineup (but all three missing would really disapoint me)
Actually, I'd like to see Mario Party 8 or even a Wario Ware be a launch title for Revolution, because I think games like that could really show off the controller with their various minigames

I personaly just want a few games, massive luanch title lists arent always good seeing most tend to be filler or rehashed sports titles, look at the 360s ea sports titles. I just want atleast a Metroid or a new IP after that ever thing is gravy.

but Mic... who ever said Mario 128 would make it?....Miyamoto and Iwata numerously claimed that they will try their hardest to finish Mario 128 in time for the Revolution launch. We'll have to see whether or not they'll actually succeed, but I think it's plausible that they will.

My guess is Mario and SSBR at launch from Nintendo, and Prime 3 at a later date. Nintendo will most likely stagger their pillar games such as mario, metriod, zelda, pikmin, and wario ware only to increase sales. Zelda doesn't count as it is for the GameCube. So we'll get both at Revo launch.
As for third party games I hope to see a racing game, MMO, and maybe a FPS. We also have to predict some very innovative games too from both parties. I'd love to see a surgeon or chef game.

All those listed and maybe Kid Icarus too. I wouldn't be surprised if they continued the DS trend of brain training games on the Rev as well. Maybe they've been hiding Pikmin 3 from us too, I suspect all will be revealed in the months just before the launch.
Oh, and Twilight Princess is compatible with both systems and has special features on the Rev. If anything releasing it at the same time as the revolution will sell BOTH GCN and Rev systems.

Damn PikMin 3 would be awesome because im a huge fan of the series. I wonder how they will make Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles? Maybe as a MMO online or play the game online with four friends? PikMin will be awesome and i actually hope they think about making a Mario Golf game on the Revolution too. A new Paper Mario would be great and a Zelda Revolution title would be great also.

Remember that MP was not big in japan at all... so MP3 is definitely not gonna be their big worldwide launch title... it might be ready though.
Also if they have both SSB, Mario, Zelda and MP then why not have all of them available around launch time?... they have to give it all they got to make people choose the revolution. i dont think they should hold any of those titles back.
The only problem is releasing all the titles at once could cause some people to ignore the games that would normally buy them. Also if they could hold off on some of those for a little while and make small improvements or just release them a little bit apart like a few months people will appreciate it more. There won't be as much of a dry period for games. But yes I do agree that it would be good for them to have at least 2 big games at launch. Especially when you look at how super smash bros melee was practically a launch title for gamecube, but look at where the gamecube is now, they need something more.

super smash bros is the number one selling gamecube game overall, but the gamecube having that in its launch window didn't stop it from getting third place overall was my point...

super smash bros is the number one selling gamecube game overall, but the gamecube having that in its launch window didn't stop it from getting third place overall was my point...Third place in sales. Not overall. Most (somewhat knowlegable) people would put it in second, and some would put it in first when it comes to overall success, since there are so many types of success it's mostly up to opinion about which are more important.
Im hoping for a brand new Paper Mario game on Revolution. That would be amazing, I am too. They could do so many awesome things with the Revolution controller... oh my God that would be awesome.
Third place overall when you consider sales, which is what most people consider when they state the positions.
and i think you can pretty much count on a mario rpg game of some sort for the revolution since there's been one for basically every nintendo system since the super nintendo...

I honestly would not be suprised to see one or two racing games from various developers and Madden 07. Madden=Launch game for DS and launch game for 360. Otherwise it is completely up in the air what will be coming out at launch for the rev. FF: CC might not even be a launch title, it could be delayed like a lot of launch titles are.

All those other titles need to be spaced out, as some of you already said.

@ everyone wanting LoZTP to use revmote
all reggie said was something like "it would be cool if it did have revolution features". it may seem like a hint but i am one of the people thinking that it wont have those features. at least not the features that most hopefulls are dreaming up. i dont think it will use the revmote. if it uses any rev features it may be the online somehow. or it could be like playing zelda oracle of seasons/ages on the GBA (where you get the advance store that cant be accessed when on GBC). so if you play LoZTP on Rev it may just be an extra store or something.
Miyamoto said this may be the last time we see LoZ like this. i dont think he was talking about graphically but instead gameplay wise. so i think that may just indicate that it will be same gameplay of old with new story. using the revmote will change the gameplay. so i think if you say that it will use revmote you are calling miyamoto a liar.
they've been constantly saying LoZTP is for GC. so my advice is be excited about this last GC Zelda game and when time comes for it be excited about the Zelda that is developed for the Rev.
back to topic
i agree with alot of what has been said
Mario @ launch
SSB @ launch
MP3 @ launch window
EAsport title or two @ launch
FF:CC @ launch
golf game from tecmo @ launch/launch window
warioware @ soon after launch window
there will probably be more than 8 titles i'm guessing about 15. expecting to see from 3rd party devs a couple of racing games, maybe a fishing game, couple of puzzle games, an FPS and a couple of ports

That would be awesome. The previous two games were funny and fun to play with, even if they were short games.
I just hope that SSB is ready and hopefully..........HOPEFULLY the new Mario game will be as well.

From EGM. Reggie on Twilight Princess:
"[Twilight Princess] will effectively be a launch title for the Revolution with backwards compatibility. The trick will be what makes it special to play on Revolution, and to the extent that we would create something like that, boy, wouldn't that be fantastic? Certainly one of the things that I would love to see is something that makes Zelda, when it's played on the Revolution, do something magical. And I think that any Nintendo fan would love to see that".
Seems pretty conclusive to me, but who knows. Even if it was just control the rod in a fishing game or as much as using the controller for the sword, or maybe even if you can download some other classic Zelda games for free if you play it on the Revolution...
