I think this comes out on tuesday over here in Australia, if not very soon after. I really want to buy a PC game, and since the guy at my EB hadn't even heard of Psychonauts, I thought I might as well get a PC game until that comes out. Its lookin' mighty good, nice graphics and all, hopefully it will run at full on my computer (perhaps at a lower resolution).

Anyway, Im pretty sure its out in America, so if anyone has it, could you fill me in on what its like? Im really only looking for a single player game because my PC isnt hooked up to the internet. Is it worth getting for just single player modes?

(Also, when does 'Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion' come out? I reeeaaallly want that game)

i have only played the demo, and it seemed a lot like rainbow six. it only had multiplayer, so i couldnt really tell you much about the single player. it was fun though, but i dont plan on buying it. i wish i could go out and buy every good game that comes out, but alas that will never happen.

I'm getting it on Tuesday as well, which is when it's out in the UK as well. I loved the single player demo, and it ran nearly maxed out on my PC, which was nice.

As for Psychonaughts - I may be wrong, but I believe it's only been released in the US - that's where I imported my copy from.

^uhm... i believe it is. it is more fast paced, but it feels more tactical, and the level design feels similar to it as well.

It's not tactical at all - it's about making an "action movie" feel game - so that's basically all out blasting, slow motion and ridiculous effects.

Bloody awsome A+++ better than HL2 ... YES my fave FPS now along with HL1 (no easy feat i'm tough on FPS's)

Also if you can crank up all the options, hell this is the most beautiful game out at the moment. It's a little prelude to what next gen gaming is all about in the graphics physics and OMG yes the AI :pinky:

F.E.A.R not (pun intended) if your PC is a bit old-ish Monolith has this game up and running on the 360 so there ya go.

Yeh. I got it yesterday and its fucking sweet. Way better than what I thought it would be. Its pretty damn freaky aswell, so far theres been like 3 pictures of dead people flashing up while i was just walking around the place.

And that little girl. Fuck. FUCK! Walking infront of me and then disappearing. I was in this air vent thing and it was really dark. I heard something coming towards me so i turned on my torch and she was scurrying at me and i was like 'arg' and then my torch ran out and i was like 'shit' and then when i got my torch back on she was gone. Its really freaky.

But the coolest thing so far is the nail gun. I first got it and i didnt know what it was, so I shot at this guy climbing a ladder and he got thrown of and ended up dangling (or 'hooked') on the wall. Ive taken some screenshots which Ill upload later tonight for you guys. I also stuck this guy to a wall who tried to hide from me by jumping over a rail.

And the physics are just amazing. I cant help bashing buckets around just to watch them fall off things. I hitting dead people who are lying on a desk or something is fun to watch aswell.

You should at least try this game. However, Im only going to play it today because I have exams in one week, and after that Im wondering how long i will play it for because Oblivion comes out November 1st over here, and my exams finish on November 14th. Ill be playing that for a fucking long time.

then when you though nothing could get better you'll see the Super-Super Soldiers, and the crawlers OMG!

The story with Alma and when you meet Norman ... bloody awsome. And I can't plug the AI and weapons enough best I've ever used in an FPS ever.

it's like they interviewed me in secret and said what do you wan't in the perfect FPS.

The only complaint I have is the environments are samely, though there tool sets and assets all revolve around city settings so I can't really blame them.

If your PC can handel it Buy it. The Demo only showed off a small piece of what this game is about.

^Yeh, the only complaint Ive been hearing people talk about is the lack of variety when it comes to locations. I dont really mind, but it only annoys me because I love forest/outside environments in games.

Also, Ive seen a few "super-soldiers" (as in the guys who look like they are going to fly around (they have those small wings things/armour on thier shoulders) and take about 7 shot gun blast to the face in slo-mo to kill em). Also, these 'crawlers' you speak of, are they the guys who are invisible and the first time you see one he punches you in the face or something them jumps up into the air vents before you know whats going on? They were really cool to fight. I didnt know what was going on, so i went into slo mo to run away and i turned around and one was behind me and i shot him point blank in the face with the shot gun.

Im up to the bit where you vs. the mech warrior thing for the first time, and then a bit after that you verse the second one. Im around there.

Btw, as Ive said before, the physics are amazing. But what I might not have mentioned is how awsome it is to kick around dead bodies with the slide kick. They go flying. So awsome. ^This guy knows what im talkin' about.

One last thing: I really hate horror movies and stuff. I dont know why I like this game so much considering theres such a big horror theme. I guess its just that awsome.

EDIT: Here are 3 of my ever-growing collection of pictures. I guess these also kind of show the cool graphics of my computer, however, I didnt put any totally grusome ones there. (for example, a skeleton in a pool of blood).

The first is of that annoying little girl. The second is the part where i shot the guy who was climbing on the ladder and i stapled him to the wall with my nail gun. And the last is a few guys who I ownd.The second from the left is one of those 'super-soldiers' (or at least ones who are bigger/stonger than the rest). Enjoy.

I played the Multi and Single player demo, and this game is simply pwnage. I'm definately getting this game within the week.

Great game, great ending.

Playing back after the end for a bit of fun with cheatHAX just admiring the explosions.. they really are gorgeous.
