My brother needed to get his DS replaced (the top screen was messed up), so I called Nintendo's customer service for him, and they were going to ship out a new DS for him (and then he'd have to ship back the broken one), but when the guy asked for my phone number, I started with the area code, and then he said, "Oh, you're in the Seattle area? If you want you could just come down here to Redmond and we could just trade in your DS for a factory refurbished one instantly."

So My brother, dad, and I drove down to Redmond yesterday to Nintendo and went into their customer service place, and as soon as I walked in the door, I was just... Wow. The place was like heaven. The were a bunch of GCN and DS demo stations, big stone statues of Mario and Pikachu and the like, and dispaly case showcasing all of Nintendo's products, from Hanafuda playing cards to the GCN, a computer kiosk for browsing nintendo.com, and more Nintendo merchandise that you could shake a stick at. I'm talking Zelda: WW watches, 'All Purpose Golf Tools' with Nintendo's logo, Nintendo DS polo shirts, GCN hoodies, all manner of GBA, GCN, and DS carrying cases, Mario Party themed playing cards, Zelda Twilight Princess T-Shirts ($9.95 for any size! I should've bought one, but I didn't have enough money with me...), player's guides, and just about everything else.

So anyways, my brother handed over his DS, they looked at it, and the guy there said we'd have to wait about half an hour to get a new one (I didn't mind). So while we were waiting, a kid, looked about 10-12 years old, came in with his mom and his DS, and his mom told the guy a pretty funny story. the DS was killeed by Sony. I'm not even kidding. He got it on Christmas, and they plugged in a pair of Sony headphones, and the headphones work fine, but the speakers have never let out any sound since then. I thought it was amusing, anyway.

The other thing I couldn't get over was the fact that Reggie himself was probably somewhere on this campus, within less than a mile of us! Of course, I never saw him or anything, but just the thought of it...

Yeah, that's about it.

Reggie is everywhere, and nowhere. He is the beginning and the end.
We are all but a shadow of Reggie's eternal glory.

Amen.

Hehe Im from Seattle as well. Is the Building open to the public, I wouldn't mind heading over there and using their Wi-Fi to play on my PSP. I think i might have to head down there to pick up some Nintendo clothing, im a sucker for game clothings.

Yea i'll give him a nice hard kick to the ovaries.(I don't like that guy man, something about him tells me he goes homes and beats his kids. You'd expect a nice happy looking guy to run the marketing division of Nintendo.) Its interesting that they have a whole store integrated into the Nintendo Building, I always thought they would keep it business only, I guessed wrong. I remember seeing some applications in the mall to beta-test games at Nintendo HQ but i was too lazy to apply. Darn maybe I would have been able to test out the Revolution and blab all the secrets.

well, it's not really a whole store. the one thing they dont sell is games. just merchandise. and customer service is in a seperate building from the corporate offices, but they're right across the street.

also, WHICH MALL HAD THE BETA TEST APPLICATION???? I MUST GO THERE!!!!!

Hmm travel 3000 Miles to NYC for Nintendo World. Or travel 2 Miles to Nintendo HQ.

The applications for the game test thing with Nintendo shows up May-June at the Alderwood Mall. After you sign up its 3 full months of game testing for Nintendo, you even get to keep some of the stuff and get some other goodies too. Too bad i didn't sign up, at the time i was sick of games and thinking of 3 full months of game playing made me sick.

What do you do around the Campus? Oh and of course theres no more applications, the deadline for the beta test thing is over.

Ok I just had a crazy Idea. Lets all gather up, then march over to the Nintendo HQ and have a Picnic there and never leave. And then we can set up a huge bonfire, strip off our clothes and imitate Nintendo Tunes.

Sounds like a plan to me!

Ooh, I wonder if they would let me in if I said I was with the press and wanted to interview Reggie or steal a Revolution or something like that

There is a comp for one at the Nintendo of Austrailia website. You always pretend that you are Aussie and get someone to send it over.
