If Sony doesn't find a way to shrink the size of Blu-Ray we may be seeing PSX style PS3 that is massive in size, I could be wrong.

With the money, time and effort going into the PS3, and Sony's know-how of making things very small, but very high in power, I don't think we'll be seeing a HUGE console. Also, they want to appeal to the Japanese consumers, so it will have to be small. That's why the Xbox didn't do so well in Japan. The only thing that I suspect will be beasty about the PS3 is the power under the hood.

The Ps3 will most likely be designed very much like the PSX. Very simplistic, but with a certain elegance. It will also probly be White or light silver.

I wouldn't consider the PSX Huge considering its functionalty. Its an all in one, if you ask me i think getting all of that in their, its pretty small and well designed for its size.

Still it would be nice to have something sleek and organic looking (not talking "H.R. Giger" or anything, just something with curves). Seems like everything we got this generation has been a box or a cibe of some sort, just looks a little too utilitarian. Hell, even SGI, whose stuff IS utilitarian is starting to look slick and artsy. RAAWR!! I wish I had my Wacom tablet on hand.

I do believe Sony is smart and wont call it PS3, it will be just Playstation.
Its like the wallkaman, or the GameBoy, you dont have others, its just it. In this case you dont have a console, you have a Playstation.
