Does anyone think its possible to connect a USB DVD player up to the PSP? it would be alot cheaper and you dont have to buy new DVD's that can only play in the PSP.

DVD Players use a different screen resolution usually to the PSP, also you'd need some sort of converter since most DVD players don't have a USB port.

Sony said that the movies are going to be cheaper than their 6" counterparts, and have improved sound quality.

If you have a portable DVD player you may as well get one with ts own screen.........................

Im sure they have a trick for video compression like the one they have for sound compression which means you should get better movie playback on a UMD and UMD's are a lot cheaper too so I dont see why you would be able to do that but even so you should be able to pull it off.
