Same franchise, different name.

Dynasty warrior goodness + Japanese history = Samurai Warriors

They took out all the flaws from dynasty warriors and then basically took the new game and put it into japan for a style change, turned out pretty good.

(oh and by the way koei said that samurai warriors is a brand new franchise :D)
