With the psp's online capabilities ya think it could have like a portable ff 11 or everquest type of game?

i'm thinking it could. Just configured diferent, for both on-line and offline. That would make that game quite good.My idea for it is that when you are offline you can train you character on this mountain and go on various quests in a closed region but when you are on-line you can interact with other characters in the rest of the world, which is significantly larger. By having a game like this it would symbolize the cool new features that characterize the PSP. PS2 quality on the go and on-line capabilities wirelessly. I think that would make an excellent game, what do you think?

they could do something like champions of norrath(everquest game),
that game is awesome and is playable on and offline, but is not mmorpg, because only 4 players are available at a time, they should make it an mmorpg with 2000 players a server or so and give it the first person view like in original everwuest, and/or just have 3rd personview like in champions of norrath.

That sounds like it'd be fun too. I've played Champions of Norrath but I never tried the on-line mode.

maybe they should have a special when you buy it like, pay an extra 25 dollars for unlimited online access with no monthly fees or something like that, because it is not as bad if you pay for it once and then never pay again, because the everquest cost me like $500 eventually since it had a monthly bill, it woul be better to just pay $5-$25 at the start, and never pay again.

Well, just as any large-map game like Everquest or GTA, the constant loading from the UMD would drain battery life fast. Other than that, i don't see why it can't be done.

That would be a dream come true. If I'm playing an MMORPG it sux if I have to step away from the PC/console and leave my party hanging, but with a handheld I can just take it with me all around the house =). MMO's benefit greatly from using hard drives mostly because of all the updates and so on, but consoles don't come with hard drives unitl recently. Xbox being one but no one wants to make a MMO (dammit where's true fatansy grrr), and PS2 having an addon HDD just doesn't work out. FFXI is a great MMORPG but look how much HDD space it needs, 4GB. If it would run just off the CD it wouldn't be nearly as good. So the PSP may be powerfull but without somekind of storage drive you won't see many MMO's on it, and if you do they won't be great. One could assume that since the PSP can use memory sticks it could work out, but updates are huge and they can't expect everyone to buy a large size memory stick.

Personally on a PC/Console I would prefer playing MMORPG's like Final Fantasy XI, but on a handheld I would prefer playing something like Ragnarok.

Ragnarok was a nice MMORPG shame about the bugs that people exploited i think they could make games similar to FF Crystal Chronicles ok its not a Online rpg but some kind of Co-op RPG may work one where you can play alone but also group up with 3 others to do things that could work and it would eradicate the monthly fee but regarding patches for it etc i guess that could come in sequels like the Hack game works

Don't most subscription places have monthly, quarterly and yearly options anyway?

It depends on the company from what i remember Squaresoft charge monthly for FFXI so if you dont feel like playing for a month you can cancel then start up again a month later where as if had the option to pay yearly it wouldnt be feesable as then square would then have to reinburse you etc but i have played other games which tend to offer discount if you pay for a long period of time.

*laughts*

You can wish all you like, becuase it ant happening.
Do you even know why they charge monthly fees? I can assure you it isn't to make you broke.
People like Square charge a monthly fee so they can keep the server going.
1 player games, they sell you the disc, thats it. They don't have to do anything else.
In a MMORPG they have to keep the online server running 24/7 and that costs money.
A $25 payment ant going to keep it running long.........

And a MMORPG on PSP?
Thats going need one big memory stick............
4 GB
