The battery life has been a major concern with the PSP. SO I was just wondering if you guys would settle for a little extra bulk on ur PSP and like double the battery life?

definately make the battery bigger. if the psp doubled in size, it would still be pretty small. that would suck if battery life was the psp's downfall.
also, this should have gone in psp discussion section.

At the Sony Conference at E3 it was clear they weren't sure what size battery to put in the PSP. I'm sure since Nintendo was hitting on the PSP for it's battery life that Sony will be reconsidering pumping up their battery.
The following picture says it all, Lithium-Ion battery 1,800mAh or above

I suppose they have to gauge how the battery will drain at certain strength batteries, and then decide which one would be suitable.

isnt there gunna be an external battery pack, or so ive heard.
Yea, it's one of the accessories. But I'm sure that they would want to get this right so that everybody won't have to rely solely on that accessory. They probably want to keep the disgruntled customer count to a minimum.

I would be interested in that accessory. If I didn't get it, how else would I watch Lord of the Rings?
Talking on topic: I like the PSp the way it is, thinner than a gba and about the same width. It will fit quite well inside of my inner coat pocket. The extra bulk could cause it to not..and that would suck. I would get caught with it, and if I have to fear that then I certainly wouldn't bring it (an expensive device) to school. Which means no showing off "Rejected" on the PSP. :(

yea i dont want it to bulky..but yet i want enough to go on a road trip for awhile. because we must not forget that the battery life decreases everytime you charge it. so out of the box its 10 hours of gaming then like a year down the road its about 8

Really? Damn, that sucks. I'm sure a simple procedure can fix that though. Replacing the batter can't be too hard..can it?

you could just have it plugged in on charge, unless you meant while on the move (whixh wud mean lugging round a psp size battery)

Bit annoying that you will have to replace the battery after a while. They need to sort that problem out.

umm....NO!
the charge losses fast you wouldnt belive. if you leave it on charge to long it ruins it and the battery becomes less strong drasticly in one year
The iPod battery lasts for around 18 months apparently, and the PSP will certainly be a lot more draining than an iPod.

Yes which is a bad thing..
I woudent mind a extra battery ifi was sitting still but if i am walking around with it i would not like to carry a big battery.
I mean it makes me feel mad when it can only do 2 and a half hours non stop.

You're hardly going to be able to play the thing whilst walking around though. Unless, of course, you like walking into lamposts and the oncoming paths of buses.

I will rephrase that too 'whilst moving around like holding it in the air' if you get what i mean. But i hope they will release better baterys in the future with a biggger capacity.
