well i personaly like the umd movies but i would also like being able to upload family guy on to the psp's data stick.
I think that Nokia had the right idea with wireless gaming, it's just a shame that:
a) The N-Gage isn't particularly good.
b) The chances of meeting someone else with an N-Gage is slim-to-none, therefore the wireless gaming function is a bit redundant.
Hopefully the PSP will do the exact opposite of the N-Gage, and do well.....

hmm... maybe someone should make a poll of things they don't want the psp to have. (like a cell phone. please no, please no)

Okay, here's my issue with choosing just one. I want movies that are accessible online. But I also want lengthy movies with high-quality picture. I also want to keep re-using the feature without paying more. But I do want to see good movies like "The Matrix" and "Vanilla Sky" on the go. Basically, my heart is tied between Memory Stick tm and UMD movies. This is the verdict I arrived at though:
The problem is that Memory Stick movies will cost more initially ($300 for a nice sized Memory Stick) and UMD movies only cost around $15 for each. Which is good in the beginning, but will undoubtedly cost me in the long run. So the winner for now (to me) is UMD movies. Just need the matrix trilogy on em. It would be most excellent.

even if i have to pay $50 for a data stick look at this
psp= mp3 player($50) mini movie player($100) game player($100) 802.11($30) being able to put pics, movies ect. ect.($20) lets see that equals $300 so lets see if it cost $150 and worth $300 thats a saving of $150 so if i get a data stick movie game and a second battery it will cost me a max of $100 more. that means i still save $50

I slightly doubt that madkatz (or anyone other than sony) could sell a 250 MB memory sticks for $30 by next year.

One word,
E-Bay!
When the very first 128 MB USB keys came out I got mine for $50 while at stores where I live they would cost around $300, :p
Cheers!

I can't use e-bay so that excludes that option for me. I am hoping they will have a 1GB memory stick for less than $400 by next year, but that is not likely either. I wonder if you could download things from the PS2 HDD onto the PSP memory stick..

Sony are not stupid. They are not going to sell PSP memory sticks for £300. They will think of a way around that be it makeing the stick smaller, loseing money but selling more machines or over such means.
This would be a BIG draw back to the PSP if you had to shell out twice as much for a stick of plastic than the machine!

I was saying for the size of a memory stick I would want. They do have small ones that are less than $30. They don't need to find a way "around it". They already have one. It's just if you want to buy a large one, spend more money, if you want to buy a small one pay less money.

the gp32 has 125MB data sticks for $50 and if the psp sells good i bet madkats could get 250MB cards for that much

802.11 WiFi gaming with your pals or complete strangers is the the coolest idea on a hand held. Bring on the wireless gaming, but not on N-Gage!
