What Features are MOST Important to You?

With so many different aspects, it is easy to get caught up in the hype. As long as Sony gets the important stuff right, I could care less what the console casing looks like. With that in mind, here is my question:

i think any1 who thinks good graphics is more important than fun games is really really dumb because it the gameplay u buy the game from and fun games are well fun so. i mean if u think graphics is so important than why dont u download loads of files off the internet showing off the games graphics. graphics is nice but it isnt that important - do u hav fun staring at a screenshot for hours and also i know some games on the internet that dont even have any graphics or pics at all but there still gr8 so....

i voted Graphics cause i need eye candy i want a solid game but i dont want it to look cheap . graphics can provide a life-like immersive feeling and when i play a game thats what i want not only a story but i was graphics thats will put me in tha game. HL2 has great graphics and it will immerse you same with Doom 3 because of its Atmosphere as did Max Payne did when it came out, and game ultima if you have a problem with that bite me. im tired of just hearing about the graphics the Ps2 can produce i wanna see them. same with the Ps3 or i should say especially with the Ps3. i dont want to just hear about how good a graphics the ps3 can produce i wanna see them.the ps2 has proven it has games with great stories so what i expect it graphics to support those games.

u hav a point but yor onlu proving me right because yes good graphics immurse u in a game whch is good because it makes the game more fun to play
but at the end of the day its your choice and its gonna be your problem when graphics will be just like real life and they wont be able to get better but any big diffrence

Id have to agree with Graphics being ONE of the most important feature, because if it wasnt would there really have be much point in buying a PS2 for instance, because PS1 has tonnes of great games on it. Gameplay is important too, but if it were the most important thing then i dont think you'd bother upgrading.

Having said that however, you could have the most powerful games machine in the world, with the best graphics, best everything, yet if it doesnt have the games, no ones really gonna buy it are they.

I'm going on a limb to say it is equally important to have cutting-edge graphics as well as the games to boot.

We're talking about the actual console here, so gameplay doesn't really have much of a bearing on this topic. If a console had zero capabilities of producing good graphics for games, would you want to buy it.

I don't know why anyone forgot to put physics up there, because that is really where we are at. The graphics are a given for the next gen consoles. It would be like asking, "Do you think the next shuttle crafts are going to be upgraded from the ones that blew up this year?"..

Please. I think one of the most important things about the PS3 will be the physics. Imagine playing all of the current games with the physics almost dead on, where everything reacts accordingly. That would be killer..

I have to say either Games or Graphics. Right now I don't think they can make graphics all that much better, so now its just up to speed and maybe more realistic physics.

Games have to be good though cause otherwise the console is worthless. We get it to play games right?

I say if the graphics are good, then GAMES all the way!!

You know, I find it really quite funny when people say that graphics really can't get any better. We should go back to the genesis with Joe Montana. I remember back then how great the graphics where and how some people said they couldn't get any better!

Please, have you all played any of the sports games like Madden 2004? Watch how the bodies collide, and how the ball bounces off the bodies like they are blocks. Also check out how the receivers fuble the balls, and how they catch them. Also check out the crowds.

Graphics can get a WHOLE lot BETTER! The leap we are about to see from the PS2 to the PS3 will be like jumping from the NES to the PS2! Get your heads out of your butts.

We are about to see a graphic resolution so amazing, that Nintendo and Microsoft are going to not just wet their pants, but crap in their shorts as well.

With better graphics comes increased physic models, with increased physics models, comes increased AI.

Don't sell yourselves short, remember, the realism will always get better one way or another, but to say the graphics really cannot get any better is like saying buying a new video card won't make the graphics of your current games sharper...

I said work on the physics more, because the graphics look realistic, its just how they move and stuff which needs to be thought of better

Although ultimately gameplay does make the game when combined with good graphics it the for formula for seriouse ownage. Its year 2003 and probably it'll 2006 when the ps3 come out. I Don't think its out of the question to want it all :D.

i dont see why the ps controller for the ps3 should be changed, maybe the design of the cover would be good like a see through plactis or something but apart from that im fine with the dual shock controllers

I also believe the controller should NOT be changed. It works, plus the controller is one of the things that makes the Playstation so recognizable. Changing the controller would be a bad idea in my opinion. Maybe they can spice it up a bit.....I have no thoughts on how'd they do that though.
