Ok, this is the biggest thing going on in the PC world right now, and it has my attention.

I never got into BF 1942 or BF Vietnam. Just never bought them, but I heard great things. Now its pointless to get those since the newest sliced bread is BF2.

I so want to see how many peeps here own the game. Screenshots, your reviews/experiences. Lets hear em all in this thread. Even servers where peeps play, etc.

I d/l'd the demo and it's simply great. I never played either titles you mentioned but this rocks.

Even the single player in the demo is decent. Multiplayer in the demo allows you to fly jets and helicopters plus the standard aresenal of tanks and dune buggies.

My favorite unit is the anti-tank followed by sniper.


I might pick up the full game soon.

Probably not. My friend let me play it for a while. Its good, but its not great. I kept getting this feeling of deja vu, which is something I'm getting with a lot of war games. Haven't we done this over and over already?

I bought it, ok game but theres alot of things that make it overly annoying. The vehciles are to dominate like when the planes air strike you as you spawn, gets really annoying.

True but that's not as cheap as many other games when you spawn because you can see the spawn points by hitting Enter and select a new point. If your location has one of those red targets or lots of red units nearby, go somewhere else.

Played it for a while at some friend's house, pretty addictive. I'll end up buying it when I upgrade my PC in a matter of days, not to mention Half-Life 2 and Unreal Tournament 2004.

Also, vehicle encounters on foot can be quite scary, in a good way.

I d/l'ed the demo, but my graphics card is too sucky to play it :(
and that's on my dad's pc, which is less than a year old.

What specs do you have because I know of ways to get some older cards to still work. If it has integrated graphics, forget it.

I was a bf42 addict and I played the demo of bf2. Its awesome, especially if u know people, cuz then u can coordinate attacks and stuff. Im getting this game as soon as im back in Ottawa.

On a side note, does anyone know if this game works with ATI Radeon X800 ? the game box says it works with ATI radeon 8500 or greater, but im not sure where that puts X800.

X800 is well above the 8500 by a few years.

But its not in the 8000 or 9000 range, its a whole new number, which confused me.

So I just wanted to gloat about how I gave EA the idea for BF2. You see, many a year ago, in an EA survey, I tell them to make an Battlefield a la Command and Conquer Generals with China, the US and and Arab team. Not too long after that, the game is announced.

i was thinking about getting it for my new computer, but i got half-life 2 instead since it was cheaper, and it was suppose to be reallly good too, which it is.

i think i will download the demo. I liked BF 1942, but never played vietnam.

The new BF2 patch is out 1.03 alot of neat tweaks for the Spec Ops and Commander...!

The 1.03 patch badically fracked up my game.I can enter a game but it freezes at the weapon selection screen.I updated all drives of every component of my PC so thanks EA!.
