So what are you referring to?Apparently IGN got lucky and was shown working prototypes of the Revolution. The GCN controller ports and memory card slots are hidden behind a side panel. I also have to agree that it's the first intuitive slot drive. I've never seen or heard of another one that can accept disks other than the regular 12 cm ones.

Still no news on what the "revolution" is or if it's high defintion. Lots of secrets are still held. Was Aries right or not?

Keep in mind that Aries could have had tentative information on E3 and some people change their plans at the last moment. Could be what happened with the Silicon Knights prediction and the additional revolution details.

I remember Nintendo deciding not to pull of the surprise at the last minute. I did read the article but "alcove" makes me think of a lot of things.

Nintendo was very hesitant to show off a lot of details in fear of it being stolen.

I don't blame them, pretty much everything else they've made has been stolen. Plus, Microsoft and Sony don't have final consoles yet; there's still penty of time for them to change the design of the controller and whatnot.
