View Full Version : The AO Rating

I know everyone knows that this rating is so incredibly difficult to recieve, but I'm starting to wonder if it's possible to give a game one in today's times. If games that have fully depicted, photorealistic sex, or games that have everything vulgar EXCEPT depicted sex (keyword depicted) get only M ratings, how is it possible for an AO to exist? Is society so desencitised (sp?) to this kind of stuff that the most severe rating has been bumped off the list? Does anyone know the actual criteria (not just what the discription says) for an AO rating? Any games that have recieved this rating?

That should fill you in.

I'm tracking down all the games with the AO rating. All are on the PC only.

I found these but they all seem to be Japan only.

X-Change is an interesting "h-3-n-+-@-1" game. You play the role of a boy who gets transformed into a girl and you go on all these adult adventures. +r@n$g3nd3r 1z t3h h0tz00rz!11!!

Really it is just pure pornography that will get you an AO rating and most games can suck. If the game was good then I hope they go for an M rating to gain more sales and publicity now if the other part of it that makes it AO is well in your oppinion good then going the movie way it probably the thing to do. Mixing the two really just gives gamers/watchers unecessary obstacles IMO.
