Viewtiful Joe 2 heads to stores.
When Capcom announced that Viewtiful Joe 2 would be arriving on PlayStation 2 as well as GameCube, Nintendo fans were generally peeved at the loss of exclusivity. However, today there is something to celebrate: Joe 2 has shipped to retailers nationwide, a full two weeks before the PS2 version.
The sequel features more of the aesthetically pleasing, old-school fist-fighting gameplay that made the original an instant classic, but players may now take control of Joe's girlfriend Silvia right from the start. Additionally, Joe will unleash his new VFX power, "Replay", on more than 40 fresh enemy types across a bevy of new environments ranging from underground ruins to ancient Japan.
Viewtiful Joe 2 will retail at $39.99 and is rated "T" for Teen.
