PS2 not enough quality games?

i have had my PS2 for about a year now and i only have 2 games for it! i ahve really noticed that although they ahve a ton of games none are really worth buying just for a good rent and what not. this is really disappointing to me taking into account that i traded in my cube to get it :(. i was just wondering if anyone felt the same way and maybe could give me a few ideas of games to get if there are any.

If video game technology gets advanced as it supposedly will become then it will also become very time consuming to make video games. While the PS2 is fucking shit and a waste of precious plastic, it has GTA: San Andreas coming, and that game is going to be the best game to ever grace a console, if you are up to speed on all the so far announced features you won't argue with me!

These people go on and on about how good Halo is when it is pathetic and boring, they say it's the best first person shooter ever but then they havn't even touched a decent PC Game. All it's levels bar a few out door areas are repetitive and boring and the enemies are so predictable and stupid. ladies of nintendo now, ive just read the entire page two of this thread, and i have come to the following conclusions:

these are my thoughts.

stated are great games for psx. psx is made entirely of great games. dont you dare bash on the system or i will knife you.

ps2 came out relying on the original hardcore sony fanboys (such as myself) of the time to buy and fund for the system. sadly, what sony forgot to include, was more than one good game for every ten bad games. we live in an age past the original nes, where creating a video game takes more than eight bits of programming knowledge. we live in an age of video games where creating a game uses up both time and money, and each game should be your personal work of art.

lets say you had a system. just you. you wouldnt want shitty games circulating, would you? for every ten or so shitty games, you have only one good game. and usually, those good games are quickly forgotten about and put under all of the shitty games.

another point:

xbox.

halo is the main reason for ever buying an xbox, to me. with four to sixteen players by my side at any given time, i could live off of playing halo night and day. which i have done in the past.

although there are amazing classics for the system (mmm, jet set radio future), you cant go wrong when the best game for a system is a game that you can pick up randomly and have fun with it every time-- a game made to perfection.

and x2 revolution, for the record, "the thing" sucks.

Granted a few of those are multiplatform but for the most part they are only on Xbox, I think. But, there are many great games besides Halo on Xbox. And then alot of the games that are multiplatform are better on Xbox.

Wow. I struggled to find 10 decent games off that list that weren't already on another system. Let me break it down for you, by listing the actual good games on Xbox ONLY. (PC Doesn't count.)

Dead or Alive 3
Project Gotham Racing 2
Fable
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Ninja Gaiden
X-Men Legends
Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO

That's it. Those are the only DECENT games on your pathetic list. None of tehm are anywhere near halo good, so now you got burnt, and you can shut up.

the best game on Xbox is by far, STar Wars Knights of the Old Republic. The second best game on Xbox is Star Wars knights of the old republic 2, Halo is good and all, but I had alot of fun with Riddick also. They should have made that into a multiplayer game.

Now I'm playing all Cube games, cuz................ITS FUN

i understand u love Nintendo Outlaw but doesn't mean everyone else has to, even though i do lol but i just figured xbox would do better for me with more FPS's and Fable :).

I never said everyone else had to play it, I just stated my opinion on the games that I like for the Box. Fable turned me off. Now I'm waitin for Kotor 2 and WM21, and I'll get Halo 2 just to see how the story pans out...but I'm gotta rent it from gamestop or buy a used copy

no problem. Anyways, I know that 3rd parties are the driving forces on a system now, but seriously, they aren't that talented. I prefer games that are excellent and have no bugs......AAA games. My most favored 3rd party is Ubisoft. Amusement Vision is up there too

ya i loved beyond good and evil even though it was too short and Splinter Cell took me a long time to beat so i would have to agre with you on that one Outlaw......Ubisoft is the best 3rd party, at least as of now.
