We are on the verge of another generation of video gaming. Going by the Nintendo era this will be the 5th generation. In here, you can discuss everything about the systems, the games, accesories, etc....


From facts, rumors and speculation....post it all. Just play nice.

I understand the logic of your thinking, Viper, but Nintendo did do work before the NES, most notably with the Game and Watch and Donkey Kong. The next generation really will be the sixth one.

they are alreadly thinking about the 7th one that can match the computer's power.

I don't know why they would bother because the computer is trying to catch up with the consoles in gameplay quality. The keyboard is still a slight problem.

Probably not happeneing.

Requires a hard drive which MS wants to cut off to reduce costs and switching from nVidia to ATi makes it almost impossible without a major lawsuit from nVidia for emulating its propriety graphics tools.

well, do ya think we're moving a bit too fast? some people can't get a system at launch, then by the time you do get the system it's got a couple dozen titles you'd like but that you missed and that you can't find. then by the time you catch your breath its time for the next gen systems......seems like you're always lagging somehow.

Next month Microsoft will showcase all their Next Gen plans, Xbox2, the use of the XNA and more ... cant wait.

Perfect Dark Zero under develope for the XBOX 2 - confirmed, may be a lunch title

If PD Zero isn't a launch title or launches w/in a few weeks of launch MS will have a serious problem selling systems.

Well from some of the interesting technology coming out thats not gaming related it is sure to be a interesting deal this next gen.

This next gen won't have any side hardware that will corrupt gaming sales like dvd drives. There is no movie hardware coming out that will take over dvds and most people have a dvdplayer so it will have to focus more on gaming than that.

I think it is a major mistake for Sony to make an all in one media system this round. Big big big mistake.
