Fire Emblem 3DS
Information (Updated: 13th September 2011)

Release date

Spring 2012 in Japan.

Features

Brand new game, not a remake!

A new option to perform a team-up attack with a second character, seemingly if they're close by.

Traversable world map, like in Gaiden and The Sacred Stones, where you can enter battles or purchase supplies from locations on the map.

Special skills like Astra (Ronku uses this in one of the trailers*) from Genealogy of the Holy War and Path of Radiance appear in battle.

*Correction: Not Krom, I got confused with the two because they look a bit alike

Characters

(Names/translations subject to change, images to come)
Krom - blue haired male, main character? Wields the Binding (or Sealed) Blade "Falchion"
Vake - ash-haired male, mentions that they wield axes
Frederick - brown haired male giving information, wields a Silver Lance, obligatory early-game Paladin?
Jase - backs up Krom in a battle sequence
Liz - ash-haired girl with two side ponytails (in the above screenshot), Krom's sister?
Ronku - dark-haired male, seen using the Astra skill
Emelina - ash-haired girl with braided hair in front of her
Sumia - dark-haired girl with a feather ornament
Corpse soldier - an undead enemy force
Feria soldier - an enemy force

This game's looking pretty nice. Not confirmed for a US release, but I think it'd be ridiculous for them not to. They need more games to move 3DS systems, and this definitely wouldn't hurt the chances.

This game definitely needs to come out stateside now. You can have a cleric with an axe. Nuff said.
