So while looking at Ridge Racer 3D for the 3DS i noticed something interesting.

A warning label on the front of the box. Remember kiddies 3D is only for those 7+

Don't get me wrong, warning labels have been on the back of games and in the manuals for ages. Strange to see one on the cover of a game since 3D BluRays don't have a similar warning on the front.

Sony doesn't get sued as much as Nintendo does for parental stupidity.

Most warnings that Nintendo puts in their instruction manuals, console boot up screens, etc...is rooted in some litigation. Some are pre-cautionary and they still get sued after the fact.

This one with the 3DS is to remove themselves from liability as much as possible yet I guarantee you we'll still get some parent trying to sue Nintendo for the kids eye condition that they swear they didn't have until they bought little Johnny a 3DS.

^ Johnny always ruins things for the rest of the class.

I'm pretty sure watching a 50inch or whatever 3D telly from a few feet away is not the same as hugging a small 3D screen in your face.

That's a good thing, just show 'em this: http://e-mpire.com/threads/124361-Optometrists-Nintendo-3DS-could-ID-vision-issues

not to mention each use different 3d techs (3d bd's are typically displayed on shutter glasses based systems).
