I was so highly skeptical of this game when first announced (due to the perspective switching) but now I can't see it will be anything short of phenomenal.

The odd thing most people had that same transition during the early days or the last Metroid revision.....Metroid Prime.

I won't say I was skeptical of the game itself, but skeptical of the developing partnership. I didn't really know how Team Ninja and Nintendo were going to work out. I'm glad to see it's working out just fine. Let's hope for future Nintendo and 3rd Party partnerships.

Which, again parallels Metroid Prime. Few people expected some odd studio out of Texas to be able to handle such a huge Nintendo franchise.

I think few people expected Metroid to turn into an FPS, then be made by an unknown studio.
