PS2 or NGC?

Ok, well I'm in the process of deciding what Console to buy. I get paid on Fri and I want to go buy one that same night.
THe thing is I can't decide between PS2 or the NGC. I'm a Final Fantasy Fan from the begining, and a metal gear fan all the way!
...but....I'm a Star Wars fan, (somehwhat) Phantasy Star fan, and an almost "Hardcorps" Resident Evil Fan. I'm a 100% Perfect Dark fan.
PS2 has some good games coming out, and so does NGC......I like them both just as equally....but I have to decide between 1 console, 1 game, and some accesories.
So can u guys plz help me and point out good and bad points of NGC and PS2. Along with your opinion on what to get?

PS2 and GCN are going to be both 200$ soon (if GCN doesn't drop!) so just buy BOTH!

Oh well, go with NGC. I don't care much for the PS2, and with Nintendo you get their games, which is reason alone to buy one.

Get a GCN. It's got Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Star Fox, and Perfect Dark 0.

Plus, it seems that all of Sony's exclusive games are going multi-platform because 3rd parties make them

exactly what ZP said. I wont vote, cause this is a GC site, full of GC fans (such as myself) but i heard FF was going PC and MGS2 was going pc/GC/xbox... so i think your best bet is GC... but, if u like a huge variety of games, get PS2

FFX and XII so far are PS2 exclusives (until further notice, but I don't think they are ever going to go to PC)

Both are great so I can't say one is better than the other ,but my perference goes towards the GC

From what you are saying, it sounds like you are better off with the GC. If you like RE and PD that much then for sure get the GC. I am a RE fan myself and I hope I get the game in 3 days, cuz it is the day I open my presents and that, but my real birthday is on the 22nd. Anyway get GC.;)

But PS2 is really good, and I'd reccomend it for some reasons. But GameCube is getting PD0 (i think), and Zelda, which is why I bought it.

Well, PS2 is now officially $200, and alos the X-Box.
Also PS2 controllers and Mem Card prices have gone down. Its 100% official....that makes my choice even harder.......

Do you have a DVD player? If you don't get PS2, because they're now the same price and GC has no DVD.

Um. If he wanted a DVD player, he should just go buy one, They are like only 100$ anyways, and the DVD player on PS2 really sucks (I never use it, I use my DVD player) Not to mention using it as a DVD player ads wear and tear to your console.
