This thread is old, we do not need to be digging up the past, the poll expired ages ago. If you look at the very first post it also says, "I'm off to play THPS2" which also shows that the thread is old.

This belongs in Weird Topics. Oh well. The answer? Neither. Small one celled organisms evolved into modern day chickens, they came first. But, if I must, it was the chicken. The egg that hatched the first chicken was from a creature that was 99% chicken, but not quite there, and it's offspring got the new chicken genes, so it wasn't a chicken egg.

The only way that the chicken could come before the egg is if the chicken is born and not hatched. If teh chicken is born then it cannot be as bird and thus cannot be a chicken. As far back as you wish to trace teh chicken it will always be preceaded by the egg until the point where the chicken is no longer a chicken but the egg is still an egg.
