ok this is what i know (i havent checked the GCXL news so if this is redundant, forgive me!

SEGA will relese a NEW Sonic for GCN not just a port.As well as 6 exclusive titles and that finally the big N will announce thier Online plans at E3. (IGN undergrounder/insider)

release date for US: nov. 4 (no official price yet announced)
release date in US for xbox: nov. 7 selling for 299$ (GREEDY BASTARDS!)
what a battle that will be!!

for the controller, not much is different, only that the L and R buttons have one more feature.. its a digital "click" when you press the button all the way down it clicks, essentially making it 2 buttons. look at it this way, you recall in rogue squadron, you needed a gas button and then another button for boost? well now the R or L button can do both! making controls simple

Anyone see any new movies? I'm downloading the low res Star Fox one from IGNCube, its only 67% done. Next I'm gonna get the DK Racing movie. Also, those Star Fox screen shots arent that great. They are good but its not that much of a difference from N64, at least from the ones I saw.

ok seems best site for e3 news right now is e3.nintendo.com., they have images of SSB melee. hard to make out some but i can definitely say that BOWSER! is in it
the kid from earthbound (ness, right?) is there still. princess toadstool appears to be there.. unless its a cutscene. and some other dude, maybe captain falcon... i duno. hes wearing all blue and is doing a high kick with his back to the screen in this shot and i cant recognize him.. it appears that all the old characters are still there too

i must say it is clearly evident nintendo is trying to change their image. while they have some games like luigi's mansion and the odd pikimin and the completely unrelated pokemon to settle kids' tastes, they have the obviously mature metroid prime, eternal darkness, kameo, and star fox adventures to give older people something to do. add in the "any age" games that are SSB melee, the sports games, wave race and star wars, and you have a varied quality. this is going to be one hell of a show.

IGNcube has learned that GameCube titles will ship inside standard DVD-movie cases, as both PS2 and Xbox use. This despite the fact that the actual GameCube disc size is only 8cm in diameter, much smaller than normal movie DVDs.
Probably Nintendo has opted to stick with the regular DVD-case size as it's become somewhat of an industry standard. The cases fit snugly into bookshelves and entertainment centers. Meanwhile, the bigger DVD cases offer Nintendo the ability to include regular sized game booklets.

It is not yet known if the inside functionality of the GameCube DVD-cases will conform to the standard.

I would assume Perfect Dark Zero is a prequel to Perfect Dark

that way they wont have to deal with the mess that the plot left. they can make it more realistic/recent and no aliens!!

Hmm, maybe in PD0(that looks weird!) you will be Jonathan or something! No...Jonathan sucks, and is gay, and I hate him. Damn, maybe James Bond will suddenly be transported in. Oh well, I can't wait to see some screenshots! As of now, there are none, right?

Yeah, that's pretty cool. The thing I don't like is the location of the Z trigger.

Yeah, this is great. I'm really excited. I have only one problem. No talk of Mario 128. Did everyone there just skip that section because we all asume that Nintendo wouldn't open a console to us with no Mario game? Please say yes! I need Mario. He's the Nintendo equivilent of God.

I am thinking that nintendo will say something about it tomorrow. I hope.
