You guys still don't know why it's GCN in America?

Well there are about six other American companies who have already trademarked the acronym and mainly one large mining company is threatening legal action if Nintendo was to market GameCube as "NGC". In Japan the acronym is GC, but NOA's marketing people thought that adding Nintendo to the name will brand the console with Nintendo's quality. So in the end it's GCN. But I'm still curious to see if Nintendo will even market GCN with the acronym, most likely they'll try something ingeniously creative, but as of now it's to early as there are still a lot of details to be worked out.
