looking at the hardware prophiles is not the best thing to do to decide which is the best.

What hjas to be done is get one of each system and find a game that is similar or the same for each system and find whats diferent and whats better.

the stats may say that the xbox has a higher prossesing speed but gamecubes might kick its ass.

but only some rich bastards or companies are going to do this so hopefully they will write a report on it or something

People say that X-Box will be better than GC just because they lost respect for Nintendo because they THINK the N64 failed horribly. So they just assume the Gamecube will do the same.

Lets not forget most X-Box fanboys are hardline PC gamers. Who suddenly find it fit to bash all oposing consoles, when they know next to nothing about consoles. That alone just pisses me off. Then we have Microsoft paying $5,000,000 to Tecmo for DOA3 to remain exlusive on X-Box for 6 months. And cut out online play for all of Microsoft's opponents. Someone just spilled the monopoly fuel.

Well, nobody will know until it is released, but I'm not looking foward to it. That is unless Konami and Compile are the only two companies to make games for it, then I'd definately buy it.

x-box will be ok. i might buy it just for squaresoft games, cuz if htey develop for xbox and not gamecube i'd settle for having a gcube and and xbox in my home but never a coexisting ps2 and gc. never.

Square's not developing for XB. But if you've seen how Micro$oft payed Tecmo to have DOA3 exclusive for 6 months on XB they'll pay twice as much for Square's support.

Microsoft's console may be the greatest console ever, but still what does it matter if nobody cares? Everyone I know either talks about how awesome their ps2 is or talks about how they think gamecube is going to be the best. Since X-box will be out around the same time as the gamecube who would but it. Some people will already have ps2 and have no need for another system and the ones that didn't get one because of the cost should not be expected to pay around the same for a console who's future is a mystery. Those who know little about video games may want one, but then again they may be attracted to gamecube's lower price. This is why I truly believe that the true competition is between Nintendo and Sony.

the Xbox is just microsoft's way of making a PC aimed more at gamer with a crap intell processor and evey one knows there are HEEPS! bugs in their poor exesuse for an oprating system so imagin how many time it will crash

Well in my opinion Xbox and GC have the same power because X-box is a PC based console right?so they will have to separate the power,like 50 MHz for the hard drive,50 for Memory (Ram),and some other stuffs,you see it may end up to have less power than GC around 350 MHz or so.But all the chips and cpu are combined so you do not have to substract the power,and while PS2 and X-Box are fighting for who plays the best DVD,Nintendo might just sneak up all the way to your houses.You all know what I mean Right?
